AsdaOnce everyone has tucked into their Christmas dinner and you think you couldn’t possibly eat anything else, you suddenly  hear the host shout “there’s always room for dessert” and we all go again.

So, ahead of the big day, Asda are rolling back the price of several showstopping centre piece desserts for guests to tuck into. (From Saturday 20th December)

Asda’s innovation team have created some new dessert showstoppers, including the Exceptional By Asda Showstopping Profiterole Dessert With Melting Chocolate Dome which will rollback from £15.98 to £13. An impressive Belgian chocolate dessert filled with 12 fresh cream profiteroles; the host simply heats the rich butterscotch sauce and pours it over the dome to create a melt and reveal. Finished with crunchy honeycomb, its set to add the wow factor to any festive table, a must-have centrepiece.

Some of the mouthwatering desserts that will be reduced in price include, Asda Exceptional Salted and Caramel Tart – filled with smooth and indulgent Salted Caramel and Chocolate Ganache and also suitable for vegetarians – £10.37 to £8.

Asda Festive Profiterole Wreath filled with sweetened stabilised cream, topped with a Belgian chocolate fondant, bronze glitter and sugar decorations from £11.97 to £10.

Exceptional by ASDA Chocolate Profiterole Bowl (650g) – Layers of cream filled profiteroles, Belgian chocolate mousse and sauce, hand finished with Belgian dark chocolate shavings – £14.44 to £12. Asda Exceptional Billionaire Cheesecake Rich chocolate cheesecake on a chocolate biscuit base, topped with a Smooth Chocolate Glaze and salted caramel sauce, finished with bronze Lustred Chocolate curls and crunchy decorations – £12.46 to £11, and Asda Exceptional Orange Sponge Pudding £8.12 to £7.

Jessica Carroll, Asda buying manager – Desserts said: “We know Christmas is all about creating those memorable moments, and our range of showstopping desserts is designed to do just that. From the indulgent Profiterole dessert with its dramatic melting chocolate dome to the rich Billionaire Cheesecake, these centrepieces bring both quality and wow factor to the festive table—at prices that make them even sweeter.”

Customers are also spotting the profiterole wreath on social media sites like Newsfooduk and sharing their excitement,

“27 profiteroles makes that less than 50p each good value if you ask me”, “I’m on board with this!”, “These look lovely”, “like that” and “just look at these”
