Beyond Meat, Inc., a leader in plant-based meat, today announces a new UK ambassador partnership with NHS GP, author and trusted TV doctor Dr Amir Khan and TV personality, fitness entrepreneur and mum Lucy Mecklenburgh. They will front a nationwide campaign this September and beyond, helping the UK get back into balanced diets and making tasty meal choices as routines return after the summer holidays.
With the holiday juggle often disrupting mealtimes, bedtimes and healthy routines, TV GP favourite Dr Amir Khan and mum-of-two Lucy Mecklenburgh are teaming up with Beyond Meat to help Brits get back on track. Launching to coincide with the September return to routine, their ‘Beyond Busy: September Reset’ campaign will inspire the nation with realistic advice, quick meal inspiration and practical nutrition tips that fit into everyday life – showing that eating well doesn’t have to be complicated, time-consuming or perfect.
Throughout the campaign, Dr Amir Khan will share expert advice on building healthier eating habits for the whole household without pressure or guilt, cutting through common nutrition myths while offering simple, evidence-based guidance. From taking the stress out of mealtimes, to introducing more variety, Dr Amir will champion realistic, achievable changes, including swapping one or two meals a week for a high-protein, plant-based option.
Alongside Dr Amir’s expert advice, Lucy Mecklenburgh will share how she keeps mealtimes simple, nutritious and enjoyable while juggling work, family life and maintaining a healthy routine. She’ll offer practical dinner inspiration and easy recipes using Beyond Meat products, helping create satisfying meals that everyone can enjoy.
Together, the partnership aims to inspire meat-reducers and plant-curious people to discover how delicious, versatile and convenient Beyond Meat products can be as part of a balanced lifestyle.
The campaign will showcase Beyond Meat’s range of products, including focus on the award-winning Beyond Burger® and Beyond Steak Pieces®, through national media interviews, recipe content, social media and seasonal lifestyle features throughout September and beyond.
Ellie Stevens, head of brand, UK at Beyond Meat, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Dr Amir Khan and Lucy Mecklenburgh to make this back-to-routine moment easier for the nation. Together they bring a unique combination of trusted medical expertise and relatable life experience. September is a natural moment for the nation to reset routines and we want to show that eating well doesn’t have to be complicated, restrictive or time-consuming. Through practical advice and delicious recipes, we’re helping people discover simple ways to add more variety to their weekly meals.”
Dr Amir Khan said: “September often feels like a fresh start but healthy eating shouldn’t mean chasing perfection. Small, realistic changes are much more likely to become lifelong habits. I want to help the nation feel more confident around family nutrition, take the pressure out of mealtimes and show that introducing more variety – including plant-based meals using Beyond Meat – can be both simple and enjoyable.”
Lucy Mecklenburgh said: “Like most working parents, my life gets incredibly busy once the school routine begins again. I’m always looking for meals that are quick, nutritious and that the whole family will actually enjoy. I’m excited to partner with Beyond Meat to share some of my post workout high protein meals and our favourite family recipes to show how easily having a balanced diet can fit into real life without adding extra stress.”
The campaign launches on September 1st with tasty tips for the family, recipe content and seasonal inspiration designed to help families make healthier choices without compromising on taste or convenience.
