Egg producer Bird Brothers – formerly Bird Bros – has unveiled a major brand revamp, with a new website, bold new packaging and the launch of an ecommerce platform for its customers.
The Bedfordshire company founded in 1969 by twins Carl and Peter Bird has seen impressive expansion in the last 55 years, and their sons Matthew and Stuart are now at the helm of a company producing up to five million fresh eggs every week.
In the last two years alone, multi-million-pound investment has been made across infrastructure and technology including robotics, and the company launched its first ever barn egg products along with its commitment to being cage-free by 2028.
The new Bird Brothers brand better reflects the company today, a British Lion-accredited egg producer serving hundreds of retail and wholesale customers across the country.
Matthew Bird, commercial director, said: “We are immensely proud of the thriving business Bird Brothers has become.
“From a refurbished farmhouse with one henhouse, the company has grown to become an award-winning producer serving a varied customer base from retailers to major names in retail and food service.
“Our brand refresh gives us a modern look and feel that better reflects the company we are today, and it is coupled with the launch of our new app-based ecommerce platform which will allow us to more efficiently serve our growing customer base.”
The new Bird Brothers’ website tells the story of the company, its values and its sustainability commitments; showcases the product range; and features fun recipes and infographics showing how eggs get “from coup to cup”.
The brand refresh also means Bird Brothers’ products – from its free-range offering, ‘Roam’ to its barn egg range, ‘Roost’, will now feature fresh packaging in bold new colours.
Finally, and crucially, customers will now benefit from access to a bespoke B2B ecommerce platform provided by Swiftcloud, giving them 24/7 access to an intelligent app that will revolutionise the ordering process.
Matt added: “We’re excited for this new chapter in Bird Brothers’ story and can’t wait to see where we go from here.”
