Boots has announced the expansion of on-demand delivery via Deliveroo and UberEats to almost 500 stores across the UK.

Customers across the four corners of the nation – Dover to Rhyl, and Belfast to Ayr can choose from over 10,000 health and beauty products to be delivered directly to their doors in as little as 30 minutes, with huge customer demand spurring the roll out of the service.

Paula Bobbett, chief data and digital officer at Boots, said: “Our customers love the convenience of being able to order their health and beauty items to their homes, on the go and when they’re in urgent need. Its popularity reflects how customers expect modern retailers to support their busy lifestyles, so we’re looking forward to helping make health and beauty more accessible to more of our customers across the UK. Whether it’s relief for cold and flu symptoms, medicine for a poorly child, lunch in the office or last-minute gifts, Boots will be there for you, delivered in minutes.”

Amongst the most popular products that Boots customers order via on-demand delivery platforms include medicines to relieve the symptoms of colds, flu and hay fever and treatment for thrush. Also popular are items customers need urgently – from pregnancy tests and baby milk to last-minute gifts such as fragrance and premium beauty.

The top best-selling items via Boots instant delivery include:

·         Pregnancy tests from Clearblue and Boots Brand

·         Baby essentials, such as biodegradable wipes

·         Acne support, including the Hero Mighty Patch Duo

·         Upset stomach relief from Pepto Bismol

·         Thrush treatment such as Canesten Thrush Combi

·         Cold and flu, including Lemsip Max and Covid-19 testing kits

·         Hay fever relief from Allevia

·         Stop smoking support like Nicorette Quickmist

Customers across the UK can check the Uber Eats and Deliveroo apps to see if their local Boots store offers on-demand delivery services. Their order will be picked, prepared, and delivered by couriers in sealed packaging.

Suzy McClintock, VP of new verticals at Deliveroo, said: “More and more customers are turning to Deliveroo for their health, beauty and wellness essentials so we are very excited to expand our partnership with Boots, giving more people across the country speedy access to thousands of quality products.”

Katie Hunter, Uber UK general manager, Grocery and Retail, said: “As the UK’s leading delivery platform, we’re thrilled to partner with Boots to power the national rollout of on-demand delivery. Customers are increasingly using Uber Eats to get anything, and extending this service will mean high quality health and beauty products being delivered across the nation in minutes. The wide range of Boots products our customers are now opting to have delivered – from medicines to gifting or beauty essentials – showcases how deeply the convenience of one-tap ordering is becoming part of everyday life.”

As well as nationally rolling out on-demand delivery, Boots also continues to offer extended on-demand delivery up to midnight in 10 stores across London, with more to come across the UK soon, reflecting that customers’ busy lives don’t stop when shops close.

Customers can check their Uber Eats and Deliveroo apps to see if their local Boots store offers this service.

Boots continues to invest in digital and delivery innovation to meet the changing needs of its customers. It first partnered with Deliveroo in 2021 and expanded the service to Uber Eats in 2023. Boots also offers on demand delivery via Just Eat, which is available in selected stores.
