Cares Laboratory, the innovation-led developer of specialist laundry and household cleaning solutions and creator of the award-winning Vamoosh™ brand, has appointed Meena Sahdev as head of supply chain, as the business continues to strengthen its leadership team to support the brand’s continued global growth.
The appointment comes at a significant time, with the brand recently celebrating their 10th anniversary alongside their expansion into the United States with a major launch into Target stores. As the company continues to scale globally, investment in senior operational expertise will play a key role in supporting growing customer demand and support further product innovation.
Meena brings more than 20 years of supply chain and operations leadership experience across the FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical and packaging sectors. Throughout her career, she has successfully led large-scale, multi-site operations, delivering supply chain transformation, improving performance, optimising inventory and driving significant operational efficiencies.
Most recently Meena served as regional supply manager at Sonoco Metal Packaging, where she led end-to-end supply chain operations across the UK and Italy. Prior to this, she held senior leadership positions at HelloFresh and Boots/Fareva, building extensive expertise in planning, procurement, logistics and inventory management.
In her new role, Meena will lead Cares Laboratory’s end-to-end supply chain strategy, ensuring the business is well positioned to support continued retail growth, expanding export market and an increasing pipeline of innovative products.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Cares Laboratory! It’s an exciting time for the business, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to strengthen our supply chain, build great relationships with our suppliers and support the continued growth of the Vamoosh brand,” says Meena Sahdev.
“As we continue to expand both in the UK and internationally, having a strong supply chain is more important than ever. Meena’s experience and leadership will be instrumental in helping us build a resilient, efficient operation that supports our long term growth,” says Helen Parry, Cares Laboratory, managing director.
The appointment is the latest in a series of strategic investments by Cares Laboratory as it enters its second decade of growth. Following the recent appointment of technical manager Claire White and continued expansion of its leadership team, the business is strengthening its technical, operational and commercial capabilities to support an ambitious innovation pipeline and increasing global demand. The company now exports to more than 30 countries, has seen export sales grow by 440% over the past three years, and is stocked in more than 5,000 UK retail outlets alongside its growing international presence
