Champagne Henriot has unveiled the return of the emblematic Cuvée des Enchanteleurs with a new 2015 vintage, marking a new chapter in the history of the Champagne house.
Crafted from the wines of the six founding Grand Crus in equal proportions, Cuvée des Enchanteleurs 2015 embodies the pursuit of balance, depth and long ageing that characterises the House.
This new, harmonious expression, carried by freshness, structure and depth, is a signature of the House’s historic terroirs of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. What’s more, Cuvée des Enchanteleurs is a tribute to the craftsman in the cellar shadows; men who watched over the wines and guided their evolution over time.
With Maison Henriot looking forward to the future, this restorative return is accompanied by new packaging in line with the recent rebrand of the entire Henriot collection. More restrained and authentic, the packaging has been designed as a vessel devoted entirely to the wine.
Other carefully considered elements of the Cuvée des Enchanteleurs 2015 reflect Champagne Henriot’s long-standing commitment to quality, responsibility and timeless design. Materials used in production have been reduced and refined to minimise environmental impact, with the removal of the neck label resulting in a purer, more modern silhouette to the individual wooden case, which continues to serve as the exclusive gift box.
Guillaume Deglise, managing director, commented on the relaunch: “The return of Cuvée des Enchanteleurs is not a look backward, but the expression of an assumed continuity: that of a House that evolves without ever denying itself. By restoring this cuvée to its original name, we affirm our determination to remain faithful to the identity of Champagne Henriot, while fully anchoring it in its time”.
Alice Tétienne, cellar master & deputy managing director at Champagne Henriot, added: “Maison Henriot works every day to craft cuvées that are sources of emotion. The return of the name Cuvée des Enchanteleurs gives full resonance to this philosophy”.
Looking back upon the legacy of name, Cuvée des Enchanteleurs became known as Hemera from 2005, reflecting a change in climate and a renewed focus on harvest precision. However, the emotional and historical bond with Cuvée des Enchanteleurs sees Maison Henriot reconnect with this founding name, once more paying tribute to the Maison’s heritage and philosophy whilst taking on a more sustainable and contemporary future.
