Charlie Bigham’s has won multiple Great Taste Awards over the years, a continued testament to the brand’s commitment to high-quality, fresh ingredients and delicious dishes, handmade in Charlie’s kitchen and cooked in yours.
The Great Taste Awards are the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme. Their Great Taste stars serve as a highly respected seal of approval for food producers, with a panel of over 500 experts – from chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers – awarding stars to the products they test. Now on its 32nd year, the awards had entries from nearly 3,5000 companies across 115 countries.
Charlie Bigham’s winning products who took home Great Taste stars this year include the Chicken Tikka Biryani, a comforting dish tender chicken marinated in yoghurt, fresh herbs & spices, served in Charlie Bigham’s biryani masala sauce & layered with fragrant basmati rice.
Two other dishes in Charlie Bigham’s Indian Banquet range were also recognised with stars; the Chicken Tikka Masala & Pilau Rice, made using marinated chicken in Charlie Bigham’s spicy, creamy masala sauce, topped with fresh chilli and served with pilau rice, as well as the vegetarian version of this dish.
The brand’s famous Lasagne was also awarded a gong, with the judges enjoying the dish’s slow-cooked beef & pork ragù with red wine & oregano, layered with egg pasta & topped with a creamy béchamel sauce.
All of Charlie Bigham’s dishes are hand-prepared in their kitchens using top-quality ingredients that you’d use to cook with at home.
Kim Gelling, commercial & marketing director said: “We love to delight consumers with our food, so we’re pleased to have been recognised for our high quality and delicious taste by The Great Taste Awards judges. We’re very proud to add these prestigious stars to our growing collection of Great Taste Awards! At Charlie Bigham’s we are all committed to using only the freshest ingredients from suppliers we trust, and hand-preparing food in small batches in our kitchens using traditional cooking methods as you would at home.”
