Cherry Chouffe, the wildly popular Belgian cherry beer (made from real cherries) from the renowned Chouffe Brewery in Wibrin, Belgium, is set to make its debut into nationwide Waitrose stores from 13 November.
This award-winning beer is celebrated for its robust cherry flavour and intricate notes accentuated by hints of strawberry, almond, spices and sweet port. The iconic mascots Marcel and Micheline – are a stroke of creative genius by brewer Chris, representing the brewery’s playful and imaginative approach to brewing. You’ll find both Marcel and Micheline gracing the front of each bottle, bringing a delightful touch of whimsy to every sip.
Using actual cherry juice, the round-bodied, soft, and delicate profile offers a satisfying finish with a subtle touch of bitterness. Cherry Chouffe was honoured at the 2019 World Beer Awards in the category of “World’s Best Flavoured Fruit & Vegetable,” a testament to its exceptional quality and taste.
Laurens Nies, head of sales at Duvel Moortgat UK, said: “At Chouffe, we’ve always believed that great beer should be enjoyed alongside delicious food and good company – that’s at the heart of what we do. Cherry Chouffe is no exception, it’s a beer that’s been crafted to enrich your experiences with loved ones. We’re super excited to secure this national Waitrose listing, where food and drink go hand in hand, and customers can create their own Chouffe memories at home or outside.”
