Chopstix launches brand-new site in Kent

ChopstixChopstix, the UK’s leading Chinese-inspired QSR brand, has further strengthened its relationship with franchise partner RTL Enterprises, who have launched a brand-new site in Kent this week.

RTL is a long term Chopstix partner and has followed its recent opening in Ipswich with the launch of its latest Chopstix site in Maidstone this week on 19th October. Since the successful launch of its first site in Romford over four years ago, RTL has become fully embedded in the Chopstix brand ethos and now successfully operates 16 Chopstix sites.

Opening in busy high streets such as Maidstone is reflective of Chopstix’s wider growth strategy, expanding its store footprint in high footfall areas that the brand has seen continued success with.

Rob King, CFO and franchise director at Chopstix, said: “Partnering with experienced, high-performing operators like RTL Enterprises is fundamental to our ambitious growth strategy. RTL Enterprises has delivered fantastic results across its existing estate, so expanding our presence with them, with this site in Maidstone, was a natural next step. Coming off the back of strong momentum, this opening demonstrates the strength of our franchise model as we continue our journey toward becoming Europe’s leading Asian QSR brand.”

A continuation of the surge of openings the brand has seen in 2026, this store opening follows investment from European quick service restaurant operator, QSRP, in October 2024. This expansion across the country is reflective of Chopstix’s wider growth strategy, growing its store footprint in high footfalls areas that the brand has seen continued success with.

Chopstix was established in Camden Market in 2002 by entrepreneurs Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik, who remain involved with the business on a day-to-day basis. The Chopstix Group has undergone a busy period of brand development and expansion as Chopstix sets its sights on becoming the largest Asian QSR company on the continent.
