Chopstix, the UK’s leading Asian-inspired QSR brand, is launching two new stores in what is set to be a bumper week for the business, and its third store opening in August, bringing its bold, Chinese flavours to both Swindon and Gateshead.
Opening today in Swindon Designer Outlet, the new store is the second for the Southwest town and will create 20 jobs for locals and 20 covers to accommodate seated customers as well as takeaway and delivery. The store will boast the brand’s latest store design, featuring striking new visuals and updated in-store offerings such as self-order kiosks.
This marks the second opening in seven days for Chopstix, with the Swindon launch following the brand opening its doors in Newcastle’s Trinity Square, last Thursday. Opening in destination shopping locations such as Swindon and Gateshead is reflective of Chopstix’s wider growth strategy, expanding its store footprint in high footfalls areas that the brand has seen continued success with.
Gareth Brannigan, Head of New Store Openings, said: “These openings demonstrate the pace and ambition of our growth strategy as we continue to invest in locations where we know customers are looking for high-quality, great-value dining options.”
“Following the support of QSRP and the strong performance of our existing estate, we’re delighted to be opening in both Gateshead and Swindon, creating new jobs and bringing the latest Chopstix experience to even more communities. We look forward to welcoming customers through the doors in the coming weeks.”
A continuation of the surge of openings the brand has seen in 2026, these store openings follow investment from European quick service restaurant operator, QSRP, in October 2024. This expansion across the country is reflective of Chopstix’s wider growth strategy, growing its store footprint in high footfalls areas that the brand has seen continued success with.
With over 170 stores, the Chopstix Group has seen rapid growth over the past 12 months, in the UK and now France, having launched its second site on the continent earlier this week.
Chopstix was established in Camden Market in 2002 by entrepreneurs Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik, who remain involved with the business on a day-to-day basis. The Chopstix Group has undergone a busy period of brand development and expansion as Chopstix sets its sights on becoming the largest Asian QSR company on the continent.
