Clothing brand group, Regatta, signs up for Nexer support following multimillion pound global IT project

Following the success of a five-year, multi-million-pound digital transformation project to elevate business operations, The Regatta Group, a global group of outdoor and workwear clothing brands, has signed up for ongoing IT support through Nexer Enterprise Applications’ Care365 service.

The Regatta Group, which comprises Regatta, Dare2b, Craghoppers, and Regatta Professional, commissioned Nexer to overhaul its IT operations across 16 countries, supporting future readiness. The intensive project included Nexer (formerly K3/Sigma) implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence systems, facilitating cloud-to-cloud migration and alignment with Microsoft’s integrated software ecosystem.

The final stage of the implementation project was completed in June 2023, with Nexer providing initial post-live support. Now, The Regatta Group has chosen to transition to the Care365 service and work with Nexer on an ongoing basis. Care365 takes a customised, people-first approach to delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 post-live support, maintenance, and optimisation, helping to meet evolving operational needs and leverage new features to generate the best business benefits.

Colin Crow, managing director at Nexer Enterprise Applications, said: “Implementing new Microsoft systems was a long-term, collaborative effort between Regatta colleagues and the Nexer team, and it’s been great to see this significant business transformation project through to completion.

“Sadly, we often see legacy systems limiting access to valuable business insights and inhibiting growth. Implementing the right new systems is a really important first step, but what a business does with this technology post-live can make all the difference to its effectiveness.

“Through our Care365 package, we don’t just resolve customer queries; we go beyond troubleshooting to make recommendations on the upgrades and new features which could help meet customers’ unique goals. We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with The Regatta Group in this way, ensuring that the business continues to get the most out of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and reap the business benefits.”

Chris Bulmer, consultant director (AI and Automation) and former group IT director at The Regatta Group, also commented: “The Microsoft implementation project was a major milestone for The Regatta Group. We’d just invested in our distribution centre and head office and then turned to levelling up our IT systems. As a group of businesses which operates internationally on both a wholesale and direct-to-consumer basis, this was a complex undertaking, and it was also the first time that we’d ever used external consultants. But we knew that Nexer had the expertise to execute the job, and working with Phil and the technical team in recent years has proven we made the right choice. It’s clear that the team genuinely care and is invested in our business – they know our operations inside out and clearly want the best for us.

“Implementing Microsoft solutions has enabled us to consolidate our international operations, access more detailed reporting, and work smarter. Going forward, we want to continue leveraging the insights of our new systems and get the most out of our investment, so it was an easy decision for us to continue our relationship with Nexer in this new format.

“We kicked off with Care365 in November 2023 – mid-golden quarter, which is a key trade peak for us and the wider retail world. The transition was seamless and having access to 24/7 call-out meant we could raise and resolve tickets quickly, limiting disruption during this all-important period.”
