Co-op Wholesale announces major investment in its vape proposition

Co-op WholesaleCo-op Wholesale has announced a major investment in its vape proposition that will deliver lower upfront prices, a simpler commercial model for retail partners and a significantly expanded range.

With the forthcoming introduction of Vaping Products Duty set to bring additional complexity to the category, Co-op Wholesale is simplifying how value is delivered to retailers.

From October 2026, the wholesaler will be reducing invoice prices by up to 15 per cent across its vape range as well as simplifying its vape rebate model. Designed to help retailers navigate a changing vape market, the new proposition will deliver value directly through lower purchase prices, giving retailers greater transparency and making margins easier to manage. In addition, it will be adding over 200 new vape lines, taking its range to approximately 500 SKUs.

Value and range are two of the biggest challenges facing convenience retail partners in their stores. Through listening to its customers, Co-op Wholesale is providing solutions for both via these propositional changes.

Katie Secretan, managing director at Co-op Wholesale, said: “Retailers are navigating significant change within the vape category. This is an opportunity for us to simplify the way we manage the commercial value of vape; from rebate to price, offering our retailers a real opportunity to grow their business. We are refreshing our range, to one of the biggest in the wholesale market of over 500 SKUs and investing to deliver some of the best pricing in the market too.  We’re going big, to support our retailers at a time that really matters.”

Retail partners have today (9 September) received full details of the new proposition and range, with dedicated support, account management guidance and an invite to a retailer webinar hosted by industry experts to learn more about how to navigate the upcoming vape duty.
