Crosta & Mollica, the modern Italian food brand leading the premium supermarket pizza category, is excited to announce  major expansion of its popular chilled pizza range in Tesco stores nationwide. Following a successful launch of the range into Tesco in May 2024, the new expansion sees the addition of four best-selling Sourdough Pizzas, including Stromboli, with spicy salami and  Fiorentina, with mushroom, spinach and creamy garlic.

From 16th September, eight SKUs of Crosta & Mollica Sourdough Pizza will be available in up to 650 Tesco stores nationwide and online, making it even easier to get your hands on authentic pizza, made in Italy.

Elena Connell, UK sales director at Crosta & Mollica comments: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with Tesco on the expansion of our chilled pizza range, following a robust sales period for the initial four-strong range. The extension of our pizza portfolio and increased distribution is a testament to the high demand we have witnessed across our range, with both value and volume sales up over 50% year on year, and is a significant step in increasing trial and building a loyal customer base who value quality and authenticity.

As consumers increasingly seek products with cleaner labels and fewer ingredients, Crosta & Mollica stands out by delivering high-quality pizzas that stay true to their Italian roots. We’re excited to work with Tesco to continue bringing authentic, restaurant-quality Italian food experiences to more discerning shoppers across the nation, and this is just one of many exciting developments that we have in store for our pizza range.”

Heralded as the best option at the supermarket, Crosta & Mollica’s Neapolitan style Sourdough Pizzas offer convenient and premium meal solutions at an accessible price point. Crosta & Mollica is committed to authenticity, and all pizzas are made in Italy, starting with the signature sourdough base which is proved for 24 hours before being fired in a wood oven on a lava stone from Mount Etna and hand-topped.
