East of England Co-op expands Snappy Shopper service to 43 stores across the region

The East of England Co-op has expanded its Snappy Shopper service to 43 stores across the region, making it easier for more customers to access fast, convenient grocery delivery from their local Co-op.

The latest rollout builds on earlier growth in January, when the service increased from five to fifteen locations, marking a significant step forward in how the retailer is improving access and convenience to its members and customers.

Orders placed through Snappy Shopper are fulfilled in partnership with Nash, which coordinates deliveries using courier partners including Uber Direct, Just Eat Go and Stuart. This model enables the East of England Co-op to grow its delivery offer in a flexible and efficient way, without operating its own fleet.

The move also introduces a more streamlined in-store setup, allowing colleagues to manage multiple delivery platforms through a single device, helping improve efficiency while maintaining a smooth experience for customers.

Chief commercial officer, Simon Dryell said: “We’re excited to expand Snappy Shopper to a further 28 stores, taking the total to 43 across our region.

“Convenience is a key focus for us, and this rollout means more customers can access quick, reliable grocery delivery from their local East of England Co-op Food store.

“We’d like to thank our partners at Nash and Snappy Shopper for their continued support in helping us deliver a great service for our members and customers.”

Mike Callachan, CEO of Snappy Shopper, adds: “East of England Co-op has been a fantastic partner for Snappy Shopper and the results delivered so far have shown the strong demand for convenient, locally fulfilled grocery delivery across the region. Expanding to 43 stores is a significant milestone in the partnership and reflects the continued appetite from retailers to invest in scalable convenience solutions that support both customer growth and basket spend.”

Patrick Eve, head of UK for Nash, said: “East of England Co-op’s commitment to its members is exactly the partnership Nash was built for. East of England Co-op has shown what modern grocery delivery at scale can look like, with every order coordinated in real time across multiple courier partners. Nash is proud to be the orchestration layer behind growth, helping the East of England Co-op serve communities across East Anglia.

The East of England Co-op is investing for long-term impact through new store openings, improvements to existing sites and the development of innovative services. As a member-owned business, it is committed to supporting the communities it serves, while building a strong, independent and sustainable future.
