Exeter’s newly refurbished GO Outdoors store opens today

A newly refurbished GO Outdoors store opened for business in Exeter on October 18th, with a grand store opening event happening this Saturday, October 26th.

The event to celebrate the new store will start at 9am on October 26th, with members of staff on hand to greet the first 100 customers through the doors with a £20 gift voucher, followed by a free goody bag worth £25 for the next 100 groups. The celebrations will continue throughout the grand opening day, with free hot drinks and family favourites including a DJ and balloon modeller.

The newly refurbished store stocks a wide range of unbeatable brands, such as Rab, OEX and Berghaus, as well as trusted brands like Peter Storm, Regatta and Hi-Gear. The store also offers bike repair services, rucksack fittings and boot fittings.

GO Outdoors Exeter has refurbished the Naylors and Fishing Republic Lite concessions, enabling customers to pick up specialist equipment for equestrian and angling activities alike. The store’s Bike365 concession supplies a range of bikes, accessories and servicing support, bringing the best cycling brands and knowledge to customers.

The 24,600sq ft store employs a team of 38, with 6 new recruits joining.

Andrew Pollard, store manager, comments: “Our Exeter team is looking forward to welcoming customers to the newly refurbished store. Whether you visited the old store, or this is your first time, we hope customers will be impressed by the extensive range of products stocked.”

To celebrate the store’s new look, GO Outdoors Exeter is offering 15% off for customers from 22nd October- 4th November.

Lee Bagnall, CEO of GO Outdoors, looks forward to the opening and says: “We are extremely excited and proud to open the newly refurbished GO Outdoors in Exeter.

“We have had a brilliant couple of years at GO, as more and more people are reaping the benefits of the outdoors for their physical and mental well-being, and this expansion is the outcome of that success.

“We’re looking forward to offering more customers our unbeatable range of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, whilst also supporting local communities and offering jobs in Exeter.”
