Fireaway Pizza gives away 1,000 free pizzas to spread joy on Blue Monday

Shorter days and longer nights, unfulfilled New Year’s resolutions and tighter purse strings are just some of the reasons why Blue Monday is often touted as the most depressing day of the year. So to counter the blues and spread a little pizza-shaped joy on this year’s Blue Monday, taking place on 20th January 2025, Fireaway Pizza is giving away 1,000 deliciously daring and totally free pizzas in its Clapham, Milton Keynes and Peterborough restaurants.

Claiming your free pizza couldn’t be simpler. Simply sign up using your name, email address and phone number on Fireaway’s simple-to-use booking system at your participating local restaurant before Blue Monday and 1,000 lucky diners will be selected to receive an invitation from their local Clapham, Milton Keynes or Peterborough restaurant to enjoy a pizza totally for free, starting on Blue Monday and ending on Sunday 26th January.

The pizza chain, which is known for its fresh, authentic pizzas and daring flavour combinations, has been inspired to launch the Blue Monday giveaway by a desire to bring people together without the barriers of tighter budgets, new year’s resolutions or restrictions standing in their way. “Whether or not you buy into Blue Monday being the most depressing day of the year, January is usually a time for holding back, staying in and limiting your outgoings. The simple fact is that spending the start of any year like that can have a negative impact on your mood and social interactions,” said George Whiting, Fireaway’s head of marketing.

“That’s why we want to remove some of the usual January barriers and get people together around what we believe to be one of the most sociable foods out there. Because when life happens, we believe pizza helps. So whether you want to get the family out for a meal together or you’re keen to connect with likeminded solo-diners in your local area, now you can do it for free with one of the most delicious pizzas in the UK, if I do say so myself.”

Lucky diners selected as part of the Blue Monday giveaway in Clapham and Peterborough will be eligible to redeem their free pizza on any size Margherita as a collection and takeout order by registering on the Blue Monday sign up pages for Clapham and Peterborough. Diners selected at Fireaway’s Milton Keynes store will be eligible to redeem their free pizza on any size pizza of their choosing as a dine in order by registering on Milton Keynes’ Blue Monday sign up page.

For anyone that misses out on the Blue Monday giveaway, don’t worry, Fireaway has you covered. Anyone signing up for the promotion ahead of Blue Monday that isn’t lucky enough to be selected for a free pizza will receive a delicious discount code from the store they signed up with to be redeemed by 31st March 2025, giving them £10 off their next three orders.
