Gap selects London Designer Outlet for UK outlet market return

Gap Gap is returning to the UK outlet market with a new store opening at London Designer Outlet (LDO) in Wembley Park.

The 5,600sq ft location marks Gap’s first standalone outlet in the UK and will offer menswear, womenswear, and childrenswear collections, bringing Gap’s everyday essentials to LDO customers.

Located in the heart of Wembley Park, and managed by specialist outlet operator Multi-Realm, London Designer Outlet attracts over 16 million visitors each year and features leading international brands including Levi’s, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Matt Slade, retail director at Quintain, said: “Gap is a fantastic addition to our growing line-up of global fashion names. LDO continues to attract both new and returning brands who value our strong London location and consistently high performance, and we would like to thank our trusted leasing advisor Multi-Realm for their support in securing this landmark letting.

“Our audience reflects a truly London and global visitor base of price-savvy, brand conscious shoppers, combined with the boost of year-round event footfall, it ensures international brands consistently see their ideal customer here, and benefit from enhanced exposure to a greater diversity of new visitors.”

The letting to Gap follows the recent arrivals of popular retailers Crocs, Rituals and MINISO, as LDO continues to expand its offering for London shoppers.

Situated just 12 minutes from central London, LDO is the capital’s best-connected outlet centre and is easily reached by three tube lines, two train lines, eight bus routes, plus ample car parking. It is one of only a few outlet centres in Europe that blends retail, F&B, leisure, and events in an easy-to-reach urban setting.
