Montreal-born lifestyle brand, GARAGE, is set to open at Trafford Centre this autumn, further reinforcing Trafford Centre’s position as one of the UK’s leading retail destinations. Known for its signature mix of elevated off-duty essentials and active lifestyle pieces, GARAGE has built a strong following with its confident design ethos.
The new Trafford Centre store will offer a spacious, stylish environment, designed to showcase the full range of clothing available from the brand and enhance the customer shopping experience. With 231 stores across North America, GARAGE made its UK debut with initial openings at Bluewater Shopping Centre and on Oxford Street, supported by an e-commerce platform.
Trafford Centre offers the perfect location for the off-duty brand’s next step in its UK expansion, with high footfall and a loyal, fashion focused customer base. The landmark Manchester retail and leisure destination offers the brand a cultural touchpoint in the city, anchoring GARAGE amongst some of the biggest fashion retailers on the UK high street.
Fashion continues to be the standout growth driver at Trafford Centre, with over 50% of total sales growth in 2025 generated by fashion, sportswear and footwear, with those categories up +14% year-on-year. This performance demonstrates both the resilience of bricks-and-mortar retail and the centre’s great appeal to fashion-forward consumers.
Kate Pearson, director of portfolio leasing at Pradera, Trafford Centre’s asset managers, said: “We are delighted to welcome GARAGE to Trafford Centre, with the store set to open in fall 2026. We have worked closely with the brand over the past 18 months to secure the right opportunity on Lower Peel Avenue, following recent openings of Hollister, Stradivarius and Pureseoul. Our global fashion houses continue to go from strength to strength, and GARAGE further cements Trafford’s position as the retail powerhouse of the North West.”
Further details on the official opening dates of the store will be released close to the store’s official opening date.
Romina Kolodziejska, vice president, global real estate & store development at GARAGE, commented: “Our decision to expand into the Trafford Centre in 2026 reflects the continued strength of prime regional retail destinations. With its exceptional footfall, affluent catchment and proven trading performance, the centre offers an ideal platform to showcase our brand in a high-impact retail environment. This investment underlines our confidence in brick-and-mortar retail and our strategy to secure best-in-class locations that drive both customer experience and long-term growth.”
