January doesn’t need to be a month of post-festive blues – why not go against the grain and transport yourself to the slopes of the French alps with Côte Brasserie’s ski-inspired menu this winter.Re-launching for the 2025 season, Côte’s Alpine menu is taking on a new modern twist this year, embracing the sociable spirit of après-ski feasting with new small plates. Perfect for sharing between a group of friends, new dishes include a gooey and rich Baked Cheese Fondue, traditional French Tartine de Tomme, and – back by popular demand – an indulgent Tartiflette.
To start your ski-run, dive into an indulgent feast of small plates, choosing from:
- Diots (£9) – Smoked Toulouse sausage and cherry tomatoes sautéed in white wine with thyme, butter & caramelised onion
- Carrot Râpées Salad (£7) – Pickled rainbow carrots with mustard, drizzled with a wild cherry vinegar, topped with pistachio dukka
- Savoie Charcuterie (£7) – Savoie ham, truffle saucisson and pickled vegetables, served with garlic sourdough baguette
- Tartine de Tomme (£8.50) – Creamed wild mushrooms and Dijon mustard on toast topped with melted Tomme de Savoie cheese and a herb salad
The brand’s infamous Tartiflette is returning to the 2025 menu in a new small plate format (£10). This gratin of sliced potatoes, caramelised onion & smoked bacon lardons, topped with melted Comté and Tomme de Savoie cheeses, pays true homage to the seasoned skiers among guests.
A newcomer to the Alpine menu, but a dish synonymous with decadent après-ski experiences, nonetheless, is the Baked Cheese Fondue (£10), the perfect sharing dish. This Comté & white wine fondue is served with walnut biscuits, crudités & sourdough croûtes, but if you want to go one step further it also pairs excellently with another star from the menu, the Savoie Charcuterie.
Finding it hard to choose? Why not opt for the Alpine Menu Experience and let us serve you three set dishes for under £20. The Tartiflette, Carrot Râpées Salad and Savoie Charcuterie are the ideal trio for those looking to try the Alpine dining experience.
When it comes to pudding, there’s no need to cut your run short – embrace the freedom of going off-piste in January by tucking into the showstopping Baked Alps dessert (£7.50), a frozen Alpine milk chocolate & cep parfait covered in torch meringue, served on a hazelnut tuile with sour cherry compote.
More is always more when it comes to enjoying the sweetest things in life, so why not finish your dining experience with a decadent French style hot chocolate? Choose either The Chocolat Orange Chaud (£9) served with Grand Marnier orange brandy or The Macaron Chaud (£8.50), served with macaron syrup and a mini macaron on the side.
Speaking of sensational sipping, whether you prefer a warming Toffee Apple Hot Toddy (£8.50) or punchy Sour Cherry No-groni (£9.95), there’s something for every predilection and each one embodies all things alpine chic and cosy winter vibes at Côte.
Côte Brasserie’s executive chef, Steve Allen, says: “Knowing that our Alpine menu is so popular with guests year after year means that the pressure is on to keep building on that success – we want to make sure that guests can immerse themselves in a luxurious après-ski experience, right here in the UK. This year we’re excited to bring a fresh twist to our Alpine specials by encouraging sharing between friends and family. There’s no greater joy than being in good company whilst sinking a fresh piece of sourdough into a gooey and indulgent cheese fondue. So, rip up that January rule book and savour the best of winter dining at Côte.”
