Gü Desserts is excited to unveil its new range of cheesecake desserts, debuting in grocery retailers on 10th March 2024. Embracing the rising nostalgia trend, the new Banoffee and Black Forest cheesecakes offer a modern twist on the sumptuous flavours and flair of the ’70s. This launch captures both the ‘retro’ appeal for younger consumers and evokes ‘nostalgia’ for those who fondly remember these iconic treats.

Gü Desserts
Fred Ponnavoy, Gü Master Patisserie Chef, said: “Bringing back the Black Forest cheesecake was a journey to my early apprentice days. We’ve stayed true to its original essence while infusing it with Gü’s uniqueness. The base is our classic cocoa biscuit, topped with a blend of 70% dark and milk chocolate crème, and the crucial French Kirsch in the mascarpone cheese layer, finished with a fragrant black cherry & Kirsch compote.
“For the Banoffee, we focused on perfecting the caramel and banana balance. It features our classic cocoa biscuit base, covered with a dual chocolate crème, and a creamy mascarpone layer, topped with a mix of Ecuadorian banana and French salted butter caramel. It’s a blend of nostalgia and innovation in each bite.”
