Gü taps into pistachio trend with brand new Salted Pistachio Cheesecake

GüGü is expanding its premium chilled desserts portfolio with a new Salted Pistachio Cheesecake, tapping into one of the fastest growing flavour trends in desserts.

The new addition combines Gü’s signature indulgence with a flavour profile that is winning over consumers globally. This four layered dessert features a double-cocoa biscuit base, a layer of creamy mascarpone cheesecake and a smooth pistachio crème crafted from the finest Italian pistachio paste. The dessert is topped with a sprinkle of salted chocolate crocant (that’s “crunchy” in French), a final touch of texture that elevates every spoonful. All served within the brand’s premium ramekin format.

Gü’s Salted Pistachio Cheesecake is done the Gü way, in cheesecake form,  rich, velvety and indulgent. The launch supports Gü’s ongoing strategy to grow the chilled desserts category by introducing premium and flavour-forward NPD for consumers to enjoy.

Fred Ponnavoy, head chef at Gü, says: “Pistachio is a flavour our consumers tell us they want more of, and we’ve spent months perfecting a recipe that allows its delicate, nutty notes to shine. We’ve used generous amounts of Italian pistachio paste and added a touch of salted crocant for contrast. It’s a flavour combination that feels both classic and completely new, our kitchen team are already nuts for it.”

Available in a two-pack premium ramekin format, RRP £3.95 from 1st January 2026 at Sainsbury’s, with additional retailers to follow later in the year (prices at retailers discretion).
