MastaHeritage equestrian brand Masta is marking its 50th anniversary by putting its customers at the heart of product development, launching the new Icons Collection – a limited-edition seasonal range inspired by the brand’s most popular and recognisable designs.

Spanning Masta’s five decades of equestrian heritage, the brand has used its longstanding relationship with horse owners to identify the products and designs that have made the biggest impact with its customer base, bringing four favourites back to market with a contemporary update.

Designed in Yorkshire and trusted by horse owners since 1976, Masta, a sister brand of equestrian specialist Harry Hall, has spent five decades developing horse rugs and horsewear designed to solve the everyday challenges faced by equestrians.

The Icons collection includes:

  • Regal Stable Rug, RRP £89.95 – first introduced in 1999, the Masta bestseller returns with its distinctive high-collar design.

  • CoolMasta Rug, RRP £79.95 – originally featured in the Masta catalogue in 1996, the bestselling design returns with its distinctive stripe pattern and patriotic navy, white and red colourway, refreshed for 2026.

  • Checked Fleece Rug, RRP £42.95 – inspired by patterns from Masta’s archives, combining tonal brown shades with houndstooth and over-check detailing for a contemporary take on traditional equestrian styling.

  • VentoPlus Turnout Rug, RRP £75.95 (200g) – £89.95 (300g) – inspired by Masta’s first printed turnout rug from 1999, the bold checked design has been reimagined using the performance and protection expected from a modern turnout rug.

Alice Ross-Parry, Head of Design at Harry Hall, commented: “For 50 years, Masta has been trusted by generations of horses and riders, providing quality rugs and protection for horses through every season over the last five decades. As we celebrate this milestone, we’re proud to honour our heritage and the journey that has brought us here, while continuing to create products that put horses’ comfort and wellbeing first.

“For the Icons collection, we wanted to delve into the archives and bring back some of our bestselling designs that our loyal customers will remember, while giving them a new lease of life through contemporary materials and performance.

“We’re committed to working directly with consumers to create products that alleviate equestrian issues. With nine in 10 horse owners experiencing at least one rug-related problem, from fit, slipping and rubbing to leaking or mane damage, we’ve spent 50 years developing solutions to help make horse care simpler and more dependable.”

Founded in 1976, Masta began manufacturing horse rugs with a focus on practical protection and durability. The brand’s aim has been to solve real problems faced by horse owners through reliable, high-performance and accessible equestrian products – a mission that continues to shape Masta today.
