HYCO launches first ready-to-drink cans with national listings

Functional hydration brand HYCO has launched its first ready-to-drink range in a 250ml slim can format, with listings secured across Fenwick and Holland & Barrett online.

Available in Mixed Berry and Tropical, the lightly sparkling cans start from £3 per 250ml can and extend HYCO beyond its existing sachet range into ready-to-drink.

The launch gives retailers a chilled functional hydration option for the growing number of consumers seeking alternatives to sugary soft drinks and caffeinated energy products*, while opening up additional consumption occasions across work, travel, fitness and everyday routines*.

HYCO brings a new ready-to-drink proposition to the functional hydration category, combining a broad-spectrum electrolyte and mineral blend with five added vitamins in a lightly sparkling 250ml slim can.

The range provides 100% of the reference intake of vitamins D3, C, B6, B12 and B5, with no sugar, caffeine or calories.

The cans are available through Fenwick stores and online with HYCO also set to launch online at Holland & Barrett from early October.

Katherine Wilkins, founder at HYCO, commented: “People are becoming much more conscious of the choices they make around their health and wellbeing, but those choices also need to work around increasingly busy lives. Convenience is a huge part of that – consumers want products that make it easier to make a healthier choice without adding another step to their day.

“That’s where we see a real opportunity for HYCO. By taking something traditionally associated with sport or performance and making it available in a familiar, grab-and-go format, we can make functional hydration feel much more relevant and accessible to the everyday consumer.”

HYCO’s strategy is built around what it calls the “moments in between” – the transitions between work, travel, fitness and social occasions – with the brand positioning itself as premium functional hydration for modern routines.
