Livingston Designer Outlet, Scotland’s largest outlet destination, is proud to announce its 2026 charity partnership with Down’s Syndrome Scotland, a charity dedicated to supporting people with Down’s syndrome and their families across Scotland.

Every year Livingston Designer Outlet collaborates with a new charity to give back and create positive change within the local community. For 2026, the centre will work closely with Down’s Syndrome Scotland to challenge outdated stereotypes and raise expectations of what people with Down’s syndrome can achieve.

Down’s Syndrome Scotland exists to improve the quality of life for people with Down’s syndrome living in Scotland. By providing a range of services, influencing public policy and changing attitudes, the charity works tirelessly towards its vision of a world where everyone with Down’s syndrome is valued, visible, active and given the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Throughout the year, Livingston Designer Outlet will host a series of fundraising events, awareness campaigns and interactive in-centre activities to support Down’s Syndrome Scotland’s work across Scotland. The partnership will kick off on the 21st March with staff wearing brightly coloured socks to mark World Down’s syndrome day, a date chosen to reflect the extra copy of chromosome 21 that people with Down’s syndrome have. Retailers and guests are encouraged to join in to celebrate difference and promote inclusion.

Michelle Whitelaw, centre manager at Livingston Designer Outlet, said: “At Livingston Designer Outlet, community sits at the heart of everything we do. We are incredibly proud to be partnering with Down’s Syndrome Scotland for 2026. This partnership is about celebrating individuality, promoting inclusion and supporting families within our community and beyond. We look forward to working together to raise awareness and funds for such an important cause, and we can’t wait to see our guests and retailers get involved throughout the year.”

Ashley Taylor, events and corporate fundraiser at Down’s Syndrome Scotland, said: “We’re thrilled to be chosen as Livingston Designer Outlet’s charity partner for 2026. For a small charity like ours, this partnership is full of possibility – from raising awareness to celebrating inclusion and community with everyone who visits the outlet”.

More information about upcoming fundraising events, awareness initiatives, and ways to get involved will be shared in the coming weeks. Livingston Designer Outlet looks forward to a positive and impactful partnership with Down’s Syndrome Scotland throughout 2026.
