M-Cube, the in-store digital solutions provider, has today announced the appointment of two senior executives to drive its ambitious growth strategy and solidify its position as the number one European in-story digital entertainment service in the industry. This move forms part of the growth and investment plan led by founding partners Manlio Romanelli, Leonardo Comelli and Mike Sponza, with the operational and financial support of the HLD Group, and reflects the strategic decision to strengthen the company’s top management.
Gianluca Pasquali has been appointed as new M-Cube’s group chief executive officer. With a distinguished career spanning over a decade at Vodafone, Gianluca has held key executive roles at both Vodafone Italy and Vodafone Group, including: director of the consumer business unit, Director of the wholesale business unit and director of commercial operations in Italy, as well as director of retail, digital, and operations for the entire Group.
Prior to Vodafone, he gained extensive experience in strategic consulting at The Boston Consulting Group both in Italy and the United States, and started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions.
Joining Pasquali is Markus Korn, who has been appointed as M-Cube’s new chief sales officer. Joining from LG Electronics Europe, Korn has over 25 years of experience in AV technology, solutions, and products, Korn has a proven track record of driving commercial success and fostering innovation in highly competitive markets. Before LG Electronics Europe, he was previously vice president sales and marketing Europe at Leyard Europe and Director and Vice President at Samsung Electronics.
Commenting on his appointment, Pasquali said: “The in-store digital experience industry is growing and evolving rapidly, driven by technological innovation, shifting consumer expectations, and the increasing importance for brands to build differentiation in retail, through digital transformation. It is an exciting time to lead a company like M-Cube, which is at the forefront of these changes. I look forward to working with our talented team as we strive to become the European leader in this space. I would like to thank HLD, President Manlio Romanelli and other funding Partners for their trust and commitment to the success of M-Cube.”
Korn added: “I am really thrilled to join M-Cube because of their forward-thinking approach to create unique Digital Instore Solutions and projects which truly make a difference for their customers. The opportunity to work with M-Cube, using creative approaches, focus on collaboration and impactful digital solutions, is incredibly exciting.  I’m eager to contribute with my AV industry experience and skills and I want to grow alongside a talented and inspiring team.”
Manlio Romanelli, who will continue to hold the role of executive M-Cube Group, welcomed the new appointments, adding: “Bringing in top-tier leadership talent is a crucial step in our mission to become the number one European company in the in-store digital engagement sector.
