NewbieNewbie, a part of the Kappahl Group, is continuing its international growth with an ambitious expansion plan. The company is intensifying its presence in the UK with several new store openings planned for 2025.

Newbie will increase the number of UK stores from seven to thirteen during 2025. The first new opening, scheduled to take place in Bromley on 22nd May, will be followed by a store in Windsor and four additional stores in strategic locations across the London area. This expansion is part of the company’s long-term growth strategy, where the focus is on a three-pillar strategy of establishing a presence in key markets, meeting increased demand and creating inspiring in-store experiences. Newbie’s success is built on creating an inspiring shopping environment and on its firm focus on sustainability, characterised by quality, timeless design and a nostalgic style. This follows successful store openings in Canary Wharf, Brent Cross and Guilford in 2024.

Newbie offers a complete wardrobe for children aged 0 months to 8 years, featuring hand-drawn patterns and a soft colour palette inspired by nature with a clear focus on sustainability. All collections are made of high-quality materials like organic cotton and RWS-certified wool and are designed for longevity, allowing them to be passed down through generations, appealing to customers who favour sustainable fashion.

This month sees the launch of new Summer Fields collection, which coincides with the new store opening. This charming collection featuring strawberry prints and cute gingham checks in soft pink, yellow, and green. With playful ruffles, accessories, and matching outfits for big and small, it’s perfect for making memories on sunny days.

In addition to children’s clothing, Newbie offers a Newbie Woman collection, providing matching outfits for mothers and children, enhancing the brand’s appeal to families. The Newbie Room Collection further diversifies the product range, featuring storage solutions and decorative items that transform children’s spaces into imaginative environments.

“The British market is exciting and full of potential, and we are eagerly looking forward to continuing our growth journey here. Our British customers have given Newbie a very warm reception and they clearly appreciate our focus on timeless design, our nostalgic style and our PreLoved concept. The UK is an important market in our global expansion strategy, as we aim to also establish the Newbie brand in more markets across Europe. At the beginning of 2025, we launched our online store in Germany,” says Thomas Kusoffsky, vice president at Newbie.

Newbie continues to strengthen its international presence by offering selected products in Sweden, Finland, Poland, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria on the e-commerce platform, Zalando. The company’s growth journey will continue into 2026, with further expansions and strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the brand internationally.

The Newbie store opens in The Glades shopping centre, Bromley on Thursday, 22nd May at 10am and will offer a special 15% discount to customers throughout the opening weekend (22 – 25 May), with exclusive goody bags for the first 100 shoppers.
