Newmark Retail’s London-based strategic travel retail team has secured over 25 new listings on cruise ships, airlines and in airports on behalf of Belgian-based contemporary jewellery brand, DPT Antwerp, previously known as Diamanti Per Tutti, to expand its travel retail presence.
Founded in 2013, DPT Antwerp has 15 standalone boutiques in Antwerp (Belgium), Lille (France), Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai (China), and is featured in more than 100 jewellers.
DPT Antwerp aims to further expand globally and solidify its position in Asian and European markets. This year, the brand received certification from the Responsible Jewellery Council, the world’s leading sustainability standard setting organisation for jewellery and watches.
Since its partnership with Newmark Retail began in 2021, the brand has grown significantly in the travel retail industry, which has had an impressive rebound since the pandemic hit. DPT Antwerp now has an increased presence of more than 55 locations within airports, cruises and inflight catalogues.
The recent 25 new locations include Royal Caribbean Cruises, Virgin Voyages, Celebrity Cruises, MSC Cruises and Tui Cruises, and there are plans for the Abu Dhabi and Mauritius airports.
Simon Black, executive managing director and head of travel retail for Newmark Retail, said: “Over the past two years, we have worked with DPT Antwerp to develop its presence globally and increase its footprint in key travel retail destinations where its customers shop, helping it to achieve its business goals.
“The travel industry has been an important focus for retailers, given its sharp recovery post-pandemic. Brands like DPT Antwerp hugely benefit from the travel retail industry as it provides them with opportunities to create global visibility for their products and attract new customers from around the world.
“We will continue to support DPT Antwerp with its ambitious plans to secure more locations in the international travel retail market in the coming months.”
Alongside the new locations, the brand recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with new branding and a new store concept at its Antwerp flagship store, designed by leading retail design agency Malherbe Paris.
Edward Verté, CEO of DPT Antwerp, added: “With a fresh rebrand, new stores and using the knowledge from the Newmark Retail travel retail team, we are making our name known in new key markets. We look forward to working closely with Newmark Retail’s passionate team to create new ideas and open more locations across Europe, Asia and the Americas.”
DPT Antwerp has successfully developed from having 28 points of sale in 2019 to 153 in 2023, and it has a target of 170 by the end of this year.
Newmark Retail’s travel retail team and DPT Antwerp will be exhibiting at the 2023 TFWA conference in Cannes from October 1-5 (Yellow Village, stand H35). To schedule a meeting, email gemma.aldridge@nmrk.com.
