JD has revealed that the Nike P-6000 dominated trainer searches in 2025, topping its annual ‘Most Popular Trainers of the Year’ list.
JD used its own Google search impression data from January to December for keywords related to popular trainer collections to gauge which are in demand most online.
The ‘King of Trainers’ says the collection was responsible for a huge wave of ‘P-6000’ related search demand this year, with the nearest competitor being the adidas Samba.
The retro-inspired silhouette generated 4.6 million search queries during the period, with the adidas Samba in second place with 3.7 million.
Nike’s ‘Air Force One’ was third with 3.3 million searches this year, while in fourth, with 3.2 million was the adidas Spezial.
JD credits the success of the Nike P-6000 to its balance of trending aesthetics and practicality, with the shoes falling neatly into a recent wave of affection for retro-Y2K and running silhouettes.
Whereas Nike describes their collection as focused on high performance and comfort.
Callum McGuiness, head of digital trade for JD UK & ROI, said: “The Nike P-6000 has truly captured the hearts of trainer aficionados this year.
“Its blend of retro running aesthetics and modern comfort has made it a standout choice, and the surge in demand reflects just how much customers value style and versatility.
“Being crowned our ‘Most Popular Trainer of 2025’ is a testament to its cultural impact and enduring appeal.”
Rounding off the rest of the top 10 is adidas Campus (2.6m), Nike Air Max 95 (2.5m), adidas Gazelle (2.4m), New Balance 530 (2.4m), Nike Dunk (1.3m).
