Norac Foods GroupNorac Foods Group, the French bakery and family snacking experts, have appointed Jean-Pascal Allemand as the new UK managing director, effective from October.

Allemand will lead Norac Foods UK, the UK subsidiary of the family-owned Norac Foods Group, renowned for bringing the taste of traditional French baking into the modern world. The group’s award-winning products, including the La Boulangère Selection range of all butter pastries and long-life range of delicious brioche and pastries, as well as WHAOO! crêpes—perfect for on-the-go or at-home snacking—have garnered prestigious accolades such as The Grocer New Product and Packaging Award, the International Taste Institute Superior Taste Award, and LovedByParents (LBP) recognition.

With 36 years’ experience in the food business, Allemand started his career at Heinz, followed by a successful tenure at John West. He started at La Boulangère in 1998, responsible first for France, and since 2004 as Export Director, achieving growth year-on-year.

Allemand, managing firector, Norac Foods UK, said: “I am very proud to be taking on the management of the Norac Group’s UK operation to develop the continental morning goods category, including brioche rolls, burger buns and muffins, pains au chocolat, croissants, baguettes, crêpes, madeleines, cakes and pancakes, for all the retailers in the UK.

“We have a talented 27-strong team, who are motivated and determined to achieve success. With the support of our 23 factories in France, my goal is to secure and expand the presence of our products with our retail partners. Our focus is on strategically growing our brands in the UK, where we know British shoppers already love our offerings.

With the strong organisation we’ve built, our innovation program, and the exciting initiatives we’re launching, we’re confident that by 2025, Norac Foods UK will surprise and delight everyone with what’s in store. For additional details or inquiries, please contact us at bonjour@norac-foods.co.uk.”
