Our Place, the mission-driven kitchenware brand known for turning everyday meals into moments of connection, is thrilled to announce the opening of its first UK shop-in-shop space in Selfridges, London.
Since day one, Our Place has revolutionised the kitchenware industry with healthier, toxin-free, high-performance products that make cooking enjoyable and food delicious. Every product marries functionality, performance and thoughtful design. The vast majority of cookware is still made with Forever Chemicals (PFAS) which leach into our food, bodies and environment. Our Place has been Forever Chemical free from day one and creates high-performance products that elevate the everyday. This new retail space reflects that same ethos: a thoughtfully designed environment that transforms the mundane into something beautiful, meaningful and inspiring.
The opening of Our Place’s new shop-in-shop space marks an ongoing expansion from direct-to-consumer, to retail. Following the brand’s launch in Selfridges in 2021, this new concept space highlights a continued focus to cater to Our Place’s ever-growing UK community.
The new shop-in-shop was thoughtfully conceptualised as a welcoming space for connection and community. The space marries functionality with elevated, contemporary warmth, drawing inspiration from the brand’s flagship store on Abbot Kinney in Los Angeles. Warm lighting elements bring an understated touch of luxury, softening the space with a gentle glow, while organic forms, tactile materials, and a cosy palette of neutrals are accentuated by the brand’s iconic Spice colourway. This vibrant, yet grounding hue is a nod to Our Place’s signature aesthetic. Sustainability is woven into every detail of the space. Rustic, yet modern clay tiles provide timeless character, while elegant stone countertops – responsibly sourced from Spain – blend natural beauty with durability.
