PANGAIA announces the opening of its first permanent concession at De Bijenkorf, Amsterdam.
The world of PANGAIA will be brought to life with a brand-retail installation at De Bijenkorf, Amsterdam. Developed to offer an immersive experience, rooted in innovation, exploration, and core values of PANGAIA, the location fuses education with entertainment, to deliver an energetic and understandable approach to showcasing the limitless possibilities that can be achieved through purpose driven materials science and innovation.
The brand’s mission is brought to life through the materials used throughout the space, as well as the design details which guide customers on a journey of discovery.
The brand’s signature products become the hero of the space, with fixtures designed to enhance, not hide the array of colors. The brand’s recognizable orchid purple color is used immersively across the space and 100% recyclable mannequins are held by magnets on the back wall – showcasing material science products science and styling. Sustainable materials are used to build the rails and fixtures including aluminum, steel, and glass, to ensure a recyclable or repurposed afterlife.
With a clear focus on continuing the brand’s work of de-mystifying science, the new installation, situated on the 2nd floor at De Bijenkorf, brings the world of PANGAIA to life and was designed to highlight core pillars of the brand “Purpose, Design, and Science”.
PANGAIA’s commitment to finding material alternatives aligns with the brand’s ethos of ‘high tech naturalism,’ which takes the abundance of nature in places such as agricultural waste and infuses it with high tech yet sustainable processes to augment functionality. This brings out the best in nature, through science, and enables the creation of innovative material solutions that utilize waste in a more effective way while lowering the brand’s environmental impact.
Towards the back of the space, guests will discover a five-foot banana plant serving as a reminder that nature is our greatest resource. As a brand rooted in science, purpose, and design, PANGAIA looks to nature as a guiding inspiration of its work.
Furthermore, to celebrate the launch of the new space, PANGAIA has brought to life the iconic corner windows of De Bijenkorf with an installation that was designed to showcase and inform the customer about the PANGAIA FLWRDWN™ and PPRMINT™ technologies in a visually engaging, colorful, impactful, and informative way. Products in the window will be available in the store including the cerulean blue puffer jacket and jade green 365 signature hoodie and trackpants.
PANGAIA at De Bijenkorf, Amsterdam follows the opening of the brand’s first two concessions at Galeries Lafayette, Paris and Selfridges London which opened in September and November of 2022.
This opening marks the next step in PANGAIA’s strategic deployment of mission led retail experiences in key markets, worldwide.
