Pip & Nut launches 1kg Crunchy Almond Butter as category booms

Pip & NutPip & Nut, the UK’s number one nut butter brand, is expanding its much-loved Crunchy Almond Butter range with the launch of new 425g and 1kg tubs,  responding to surging demand in one of the fastest-growing segments of the nut butter aisle.

Already popular in 170g jars, Crunchy Almond Butter has built a loyal following among shoppers seeking texture, taste and nutritional benefits.

A crunch above the rest

Almond butter is now a standout performer in the nut butter aisle, driving over 40% of total category growth despite accounting for only 10% of sales. Year-on-year value growth sits at 20.5%, reflecting growing consumer focus on nutrient-rich, fibre-packed spreads that support gut, heart, and overall health.

Pip Murray, founder of Pip & Nut, comments: “Almond butter is continuing to outperform other spreads, which is down to a growing consumer interest in fibre, gut health, and nutrient-rich foods. It’s great to see consumers recognising almonds as being nutrient powerhouses – they are naturally high in fibre and rich in Vitamin E, magnesium, calcium, and polyphenols, all of which support heart, brain, and gut health while protecting cells from damage. Our larger tubs make it easier for fans to enjoy these benefits and that ‘one more spoonful,’ whether spreading, spooning straight from the jar, blending, or baking.”

Serving the crunchy loyalist

Like peanut butter, smooth and crunchy almond butter attracts distinct shoppers, highlighting the need for formats that cater specifically to crunchy fans. Larger tubs are already popular across other Pip & Nut favourites, including Crunchy Peanut Butter, making this expansion a natural next step for Crunchy Almond Butter lovers.

“Our crunchy almond butter already has a loyal following in 170g jars, and fans have been asking for bigger tubs for everyday use,” adds Pip. “With minimal cross-shopping between smooth and crunchy – just 10% – it made sense to offer larger formats that fit our fans’ routines, whether spreading, spooning, blending or baking. One thing that makes Pip & Nut so unique is the devotion of our fans – they are passionate about our products, from taste to nutritional benefits, and these new sizes give them the flexibility to enjoy almond butter every day.”
