The UK’s number one nut butter brand, Pip & Nut, has launched a new charitable foundation.
With ten million adults & children in the UK not able to afford or access the food they need[1], The Pip & Nut Foundation was created to help give everyone a seat at the table. That means supporting organisations tackling hunger & loneliness by giving nourishing meals to communities who need them most.
The Pip & Nut Foundation will receive 10% of the company’s annual profits, with a guaranteed minimum donation of 0.5% of net revenue to ensure consistent support, even in leaner years. In 2025, the Foundation will fund £131,500 in grants, helping provide over 60,000 meals to those who need them most. This year’s national, local and international partners, include:
- FoodCycle, bringing people together through community dining
- World Central Kitchen, providing fresh meals in response to crises across the world, including Gaza where The Pip & Nut Foundation’s donation is focused
- CanTeam, transforming school canteens into community hubs
- Local East London partners
Pip Murray, Founder and CEO of Pip & Nut and the Pip & Nut Foundation, said: “We’re seeing a growing number of people unable to afford healthy, good food and community organisations under huge pressure to fill that gap. As a business built around the idea that good food can do good, we’re proud to be able to support these brilliant organisations – and many more in the future – in their life-changing work.
Good food & good company can make a huge difference to people’s wellbeing. The organisations we’re supporting create spaces where people can eat, connect and feel part of a community – something everyone should be able to experience.”
Sophie Tebbetts, CEO of FoodCycle said: “At FoodCycle we believe that everyone deserves to enjoy good food and good conversation, no matter their background or circumstance. We’re hugely grateful to have been selected as one of the charities benefitting from The Pip & Nut Foundation. The donation will help us continue to nourish communities across the country, through community dining. Reducing food waste, alleviating food poverty, tackling loneliness and supporting mental health.”
A certified B Corp since 2019, Pip & Nut embeds purpose and impact into the heart of everything it does. The Foundation builds on Pip & Nut’s ongoing community work, which includes long-term relationships with Hackney Foodbank and The Felix Project, where the business has donated over 150,000 jars of nut butter since 2020.
