Portofino Dry Gin invites you to sip your way into the sun-drenched elegance of the Italian Riviera with its signature new serve: Lo Sgroppino alla Portofinese.
Inspired by the timeless charm of Portofino and the golden hour ritual of aperitivo, this chic update on the classic Venetian digestive combines lemon sorbet, Portofino Dry Gin, limoncello, and prosecco for a refreshing, citrus-forward serve that is the perfect palate cleanser or summer aperitif.
Finished with a single basil leaf and served in sculptural glassware from NUDE Glass’s Bar/Giani collection, this is a cocktail that feels like summer on the Ligurian coast: elegant, laid-back, and effortlessly luxurious.
Recipe: Lo Sgroppino alla Portofinese
15ml Portofino Dry Gin
10ml Limoncello
10ml Agave Syrup
2 Spoons of Lemon Sorbet
120ml Prosecco
Method: Shake all ingredients with ice, pour into a chilled long-stem cocktail glass and garnish with basil. Serve immediately.
Rooted in the 17th-century traditions of Venetian aristocracy, the original Sgroppino was a decadent interlude during lavish meals – a way to avoid fullness and refresh the palate. Lo Sgroppino alla Portofinese builds on this tradition with a Mediterranean flair.
This serve channels The Portofino Way – the gin’s concept that celebrates slowing down, Mediterranean moments, and the art of living well.
Portofino Dry Gin is available at Boutique Brands for £42.50.
