A major milestone has been reached as Prestige Flowers celebrates raising more than £700,000 for UK charities.
The flower delivery company has partnered with Cancer Research UK, Barnardo’s and the British Heart Foundation, raising money through flower sales and supporting charity events.
Elise Harlock, brand manager at Prestige Flowers, said: “We’re so proud that we have raised this amount for these worthwhile causes.
“We have collaborated with different charities for the last 10 years and we will continue to develop these partnerships for years to come, finding new, creative ways to support them.
“With Barnardo’s we surprised foster carers with flowers and we’ve held self-esteem building workshops with children, too.
“We created bouquets based on famous artworks for the National Gallery and we supported Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Cancer Research through our ‘Leaving Smiles’ campaign.
“This campaign encouraged participants to order a free bouquet of flowers and leave it in a public space for a stranger to claim. It included a ‘Take Me Home’ card with numbers for support lines for different charitable organisations.”
Prestige Flowers is the floral partner of Cancer Research UK’s flower shop, which offers a variety of bouquets and plants.
Through this partnership, 25% of the value of every order goes to Cancer Research UK’s cancer research and also offers a Breast Cancer Awareness Bouquet, which includes pink carnations and pink roses.
The company also sells a bouquet dedicated to Cystic Fibrosis Trust to raise money for the charity.
Elise added: “As Christmas approaches, we’re bolstering our fundraising efforts to support our charity partners at this crucial time.
“We admire the work these organisations do and this inspires us to continue fundraising. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we reach the million pound milestone.”
