Pret A Manger is opening its first ever drive-thru shop in Warrington on Tuesday 5th May, offering customers a new way to enjoy Pret’s freshly made food and organic coffee while on the move.

Opening in partnership with Motor Fuel Group, the shop marks a new trial format for the brand as Pret continues to expand its presence in transport and travel locations across the UK. Pret currently operates 220 shops in leading airports, stations and motorway service areas across the UK, 35 of which are operated by Motor Fuel Group.

Conveniently located just off the M6 at junction 21, the new drive-thru will serve customers travelling across the Northwest of England, as well as Warrington locals.

The drive-thru has one lane for vehicles, with digital menu board showcasing Pret’s menu of freshly- made food, Barista-prepared drinks and selection of cold drinks, snacks and baked goods. The shop also offers seating for up to 48 people inside, alongside EV charging points and customer toilets, for customers looking to take a break and stretch their legs from their journey.

Customers can enjoy Pret’s full freshly made breakfast and lunch menu, from freshly baked croissants to customer favourites such as the Pole & Line Caught Tuna Baguette and Chef’s Italian Chicken Salad. Popular snacks including the Love Bar and popcorn will also be available.

Pret’s 100% organic Arabica coffee will be served alongside a wide range of hot and cold drinks, including smoothies. Drinks will be available in both regular (12oz) and brand new large (16oz) sizes, with alternative milks available at no extra cost.

To celebrate the opening, Pret will be spreading joy throughout the day with its much-loved random acts of kindness, Joy of Pret. On opening day, customers can expect hundreds of giveaways including love bars, freshly baked croissants, coffees on the house and even Club Pret annual subscriptions to lucky guests at random.

Ross Warnes Pret A Manger president UK & Ireland, commented: “Travel hubs and roadside locations present a huge growth opportunity for Pret, making the launch of our first drive-thru a natural next step in our expansion. It’s all part of our strategy of meeting customers where they are, while still delivering the same friendly, speedy service and freshly made food we’re known for. Our teams have worked incredibly hard to deliver this new Pret experience, and we can’t wait to start welcoming customers soon.”

Jack Tindall, head of good Sdervice operations’ at Motor Fuel Group, said: “‘As Pret’s largest UK franchise partner, opening Pret’s first ever drive-thru is a major milestone for our partnership. We know how much the people of Warrington love great coffee, and we’re thrilled to bring Pret’s freshly made food and Barista-made drinks to them. From freshly baked croissants to sandwiches, salads and organic coffee, this new shop offers everything customers love about Pret designed for modern, on the go journeys. We’re incredibly proud to be part launching this new format for Pret and look forward to serving the Warrington community.”
