PRYA launches the Padel Collection, the first jewellery collection inspired by the world’s fastest growing sport

PRYA Jewellery brand PRYA has launched The Padel Collection, the first jewellery collection inspired entirely by padel, reimagining the classic tennis bracelet for a sport that is rapidly reshaping both courts and consumer culture.

Blending sport, design and symbolism, the collection translates padel’s social energy and modern lifestyle appeal into wearable jewellery designed for everyday use. At its core is a contemporary reinterpretation of the tennis bracelet, a category currently experiencing renewed commercial momentum within the jewellery market.

The launch centres on The Signature Padel Bracelet, a modern update on the classic tennis bracelet. Paying homage to a jewellery icon, the design features a fluid line of pear cut stones that echo the silhouette of a padel racket. Crafted in 18k gold vermeil or sterling silver, each bezel-set stone is designed to move naturally with the wearer, offering comfort, durability and light-catching movement.

Arwa Hassan, co-founder and style director at PRYA, said: “The tennis bracelet is a true design icon. With the rise of padel globally, we wanted to honour that heritage while creating something that feels relevant to how people live and dress today. Versatile, effortless and modern.”

Introducing the Padel Collection

Expanding beyond a single hero piece, The Padel Collection comprises three distinct bracelet designs, allowing retailers to merchandise a complete sport-luxe jewellery story:

  • The Signature Padel Bracelet – A modern reinterpretation of the tennis bracelet, featuring a continuous line of pear-cut stones inspired by the shape of a padel racket.

  • The Icon Padel Bracelet – A statement design combining high-shine oval bezel-set stones with a signature pavé padel racket charm.

  • The Fine Icon Padel Bracelet – A refined, layering-friendly bracelet with micro-pavé links and a delicate racket charm.

Together, the range offers a cohesive jewellery wardrobe that blends sport, style and modern femininity, positioning PRYA at the intersection of lifestyle jewellery and contemporary sport. This marks the first time padel has been interpreted through fine jewellery, creating a new design narrative within the sports-inspired jewellery category.

From sporting icon to modern staple

Originally known as the line bracelet, the tennis bracelet dates back to the 1920s before becoming embedded in popular culture in the 1970s. Its sporting association was cemented in 1978, when tennis legend Chris Evert famously stopped play at the US Open after her diamond bracelet fell from her wrist.

Today, sport-led jewellery is seeing renewed consumer demand. Google searches for “tennis bracelet” now average more than 132,000 per month. Padel has also emerged as the world’s fastest growing sport, with UK search interest increasing by 120 percent year on year, with 1.3 million searches recorded last month.

Sport, style and market momentum

Padel’s growth reflects a broader cultural shift towards sport as a social and lifestyle activity. According to the 2025 Global Padel Report by Playtomic and PwC’s Strategy&, the sport has seen a 26 percent increase in new clubs globally, with more than 7,000 new courts added worldwide in the past year.

As padel’s profile continues to rise, its influence is extending beyond the court into fashion, accessories and everyday jewellery.

A strategic step for PRYA

The Padel Collection represents a strategic evolution for PRYA and marks the brand’s first range crafted in gold vermeil. This material expansion elevates PRYA’s offering while maintaining its focus on accessible price points and everyday wearability.
