This May, Sainsbury’s is delighted to announce an expansion of its recipe kit range, launching six new recipe kits from Gousto, the UK’s best recipe box for choice, as well as introducing brand new recipes in its existing partnership with SimplyCook with Sainsbury’s.
Recipe kits are the ideal solution for those needing some mid-week culinary inspiration or for time-poor customers, with some of the recipes taking as little as 15 minutes to cook. The kits also offer convenience, removing the need to buy multiple ingredients as everything is already perfectly portioned, which also means no food waste for customers at home.
Gousto’s launch into Sainsbury’s provides an exciting opportunity for more UK shoppers to cook with the recipe box for the first time, trying a selection of some of their most-loved recipes across a variety of different cuisines. Customers can pick up everything needed to create delicious dinners in the Gousto boxes, from fresh veg and protein to spices and seasonings. There will be six Gousto recipe kits to choose from, each priced at £9 to serve two adults. The recipes available include; Gousto Korean Yang-Nyum Chicken, Gousto Truffle Mayo Burger Fries, Gousto Shredded Hoisin Chicken Wrap, Gousto Paneer Tikka Naan & Salad, Gousto Mongolian Lamb Stir-Fry and Gousto Chicken & Apple Casserole.
The SimplyCook with Sainsbury’s boxes will be priced at £7 for two or £9.50 for four. The new recipes available include; SimplyCook with Sainsbury’s Sticky Korean Chicken, SimplyCook with Sainsbury’s Bang Bang Chicken Satay Noodles, SimplyCook with Sainsbury’s Chinese Sweet Chilli Beef and Sainsbury’s SimplyCook Indonesian Coconut Curry.
Director of fresh food at Sainsbury’s Richard Crampton comments: “We are thrilled to expand our recipe kit offering and exclusively launch Gousto in a supermarket first! We want to ensure that Sainsbury’s is the destination for innovation and these exciting new recipe kits from both Gousto and SimplyCook with Sainsbury’s will be a fantastic addition to our aisles. A favourite recipe of mine is the SimplyCook with Sainsbury’s Chicken Tinga Tacos but then I know the Gousto Truffle Mayo Beef Burger will be a real crowd pleaser in my house.”
Gousto’s chief customer officer Sally Matthews comments: “As part of our vision to become the UK’s most-loved way to eat dinner, we have teamed up with Sainsbury’s to bring our leading dinnertime choice and variety to even more households across the country. Busy shoppers wanting to cook nutritious meals from scratch, can benefit from Gousto’s easy to prepare, mouthwatering meals in stores from 9th May.
