Science in Sport [SiS] Leading performance nutrition brand Science in Sport [SiS] has launched a new Energy Oat Bar, available in two flavours, formulated to provide a source of carbohydrates, protein and fibre to fuel an active lifestyle.

Made with natural ingredients and available in a choice of white chocolate and macadamia or vegan-friendly blueberry flavour, the Energy Oat Bar is designed to support an everyday active lifestyle and endurance athletes.

Using real ingredients, for real energy, SiS’s Energy Oat Bar, which will be stocked in Sainsbury’s, Holland & Barrett, and selected PureGym locations, provides 40 grams of carbohydrates to provide a sustained source of energy, for exercise or competition and helping to optimise muscle glycogen stores. With 10 grams of protein, the Energy Oat Bar supports muscle recovery and growth and its natural fibre content also promotes digestive health.

With more than 30 years of expertise in innovating scientifically-developed nutrition products to fuel sports performance, SiS’s new Energy Oat Bar has been created to support athletes with high carbohydrate demands, balancing essential nutrients for performance and recovery.

The new Energy Oat Bar is convenient as an on-the-go option, suitable for pre-workout carb loading, consuming during prolonged exercise such as long-distance cycling or as a post-session snack.

Dan Lampard, chief operating officer of Science in Sport, said: “For more than three decades, our mission at Science in Sport has been to use scientific research and an expert knowledge of the nutritional requirements of athletes to develop products which help fuel optimal performance.

“Our first Energy Oat Bar brings together great taste, convenience and the right balance of carbohydrates, protein and fibre to support both elite athletes and everyday active lifestyles, whenever and wherever an energy boost is needed.”

“Developed in collaboration with our sports scientists, our Energy Oat Bar is designed to meet the real-world demands of training, competition, and recovery.

Science in Sport is the Official Nutrition Partner of more than 330 elite sports organisations including Tottenham Hotspur, The British & Irish Rugby Lions, Saracens Rugby, England Netball, and British Cycling.

The Energy Oat Bar is the newest product in Science in Sport’s range which includes GO Isotonic Energy Gels, HYDRO+ electrolyte drink mix, BETA Fuel for endurance and REGO Recovery protein powder. Products available via scienceinsport.com, Amazon, and major retailers including Sainsbury’s and Holland & Barrett.

SiS Plc, headquartered in Blackburn, UK, has been using scientific research to formulate industry-leading sports nutrition solutions since 1992. Globally, SiS is an official supplier or partner to more than 330 professional sports teams, individuals and institutions.
