Seasalt Cornwall, the UK-based fashion and lifestyle brand, will open in Marks & Spencer stores in Ireland from May 2023. The move comes as part of the ongoing partnership with the retailers ‘Brands at M&S’ platform and follows on the success of Seasalt’s two standalone shops in Clonakilty and Westport.
Seasalt is now delighted to bring its stylish women’s clothing and rainwear, with its beautiful blend of artistic prints and Cornish colour palette, to three M&S locations in Ireland, at Mary Street and Liffey Valley in Dublin and St. Patrick’s Street in Cork.
Inspired by Cornwall’s wild landscape and vibrant artistic culture, Seasalt’s team of in-house designers and artists design all collections from their studios overlooking Falmouth Bay. The brand’s distinctive handwriting, inspired by its Cornish heritage, is brought to life in every Seasalt product, with an aesthetic that is instantly recognisable. Stories of Cornwall, and the people and places that inspire Seasalt designs, is what sets the brand apart and shares an inherent affinity with the creative lifestyle and natural beauty found in Ireland.
“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with M&S to bring Seasalt Cornwall to a broader audience in Ireland providing a real opportunity to grow our existing relationship, whereby we already have a significant Seasalt presence across the UK. Our brand has been so well received by Irish customers online, in our two Seasalt shops and through our selected independent retailers, it’s our second largest customer community outside of the UK,” said Lars Jorgensen, Chief Sales Officer at Seasalt Cornwall. “We’re excited to introduce Seasalt to M&S customers in Ireland and we believe our partnership will be a great success. We hope this is just the start of our journey.”
Philip Conlon, head of division, Ireland at Marks & Spencer, said: We’re pleased to be welcoming Seasalt to three of our M&S stores in Ireland this month. An important part of the Brands at M&S family, Seasalt has continued to be one of our most popular third-party brand partners, we look forward to the brand complementing our womenswear offer in store.”
Seasalt’s long-standing commitment to keeping sustainability at the heart of the business means that each collection is made to love and last, in quality fabrics that wash and wear beautifully. The Seasalt proposition has been thoughtfully and consistently tailored to the needs of their customers. The range features timeless styles from durable natural fabrics like GOTS-certified organic cotton, merino wool, bamboo-derived viscose and linen. The brand is renowned for its hero product categories – Dresses, Seasalt Rain and Sailor Stripes – demonstrating inclusivity on fit and size across the range.
Each of the three M&S stores will have a dedicated Seasalt section, across 400sq. ft. where customers will find effortless summer dresses in cotton, jersey and light linen, timeless tops with colours and prints inspired by Cornwall, lightweight and hardworking waterproof coats, made with over 40 years’ experience of changeable Cornish weather, and super soft Seasalt women’s socks in breathable natural fabrics. The range will be available in-store from end-May 2023.
