Seasalt Cornwall’s Charity Sailor Shirt is back, in support of mental health charity Mind

It is not always obvious when a person is struggling with their mental health. Sometimes, reading between the lines can make all the difference.

This World Mental Health Day, 10th October, Seasalt Cornwall relaunches Between The Lines, its charity Sailor Shirt campaign. Building on the success of the previous initiative, the Between The Lines Sailor Shirt is back- this time in a new Mini Cornish stripe featuring Mind’s signature blue.

All profits from sales of the shirt will go to the clothing brand’s charity partner, Mind, specifically to support the expansion of Mind’s Infoline and legal line, both of which are experiencing increasing numbers of calls year on year. The donations will help Mind answer the phone to more people who need them.

To support the campaign, three people from the Seasalt Cornwall and Mind community who each have lived experience of a mental health problem or work as an advisor on Mind’s Infoline, shared their stories. Dean, Lucy and India champion the expansion of Mind’s Infoline, a place for people to gain vital support and information.

Made from organic cotton, in Seasalt’s iconic Sailor Shirt silhouette, the Between The Lines top comes in women’s sizes 8-28 and men’s S-XXL. Priced at £29.95, it is available to buy online and in selected shops from 10th October 2024 while stocks last.

Seasalt Cornwall is encouraging customers to support the campaign by sharing photos of themselves wearing their Between The Lines stripes on social media using #BetweenTheLines.

The campaign is part of an ongoing partnership between Seasalt Cornwall and Mind. The clothing brand has so far donated £378,940 since 2021 to support the charity’s vital work.

Paul Hayes, CEO at Seasalt Cornwall, said: “We stand with Mind in the belief that no one should have to face mental health challenges alone, which is why we’re proud to support the charity’s important work. Our Between The Lines campaign focuses on raising awareness about the power of checking in on one another. We hope our customers will wear their Between The Lines stripes with pride, knowing that their purchase helps provide vital support to those struggling with their mental health.”

Andrew Berrie, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Mind, commented: “We are extremely grateful to Seasalt Cornwall for their ongoing support of Mind, especially with expanding our Infoline and legal line.

Seasalt Cornwall’s support is more important than ever. We’re in the middle of a mental health crisis and experiencing an increased demand for our services, such as the Infoline and legal line. Not only will the money raised through this partnership help us keep these vital services running, but it will allow us to reach more people who need us and create a future where no mind is left behind.”
