Søstrene Grene, a popular Danish homeware brand, will open its first Birmingham store, located in Grand Central on Friday 19th September at 9:59am.

Danish homewares store, Søstrene Grene, is set to open in Birmingham on Friday 19th September 2025 at 9:59am. Situated at Grand Central, customers can anticipate seasonal collections, including contemporary interiors, hobby items, children’s toys, soft furniture, kitchen accessories and more.

The international retailer, with over 350 stores globally and more than 50 in the UK, will bring its signature Scandi-inspired style and affordable prices to Birmingham this month, marking the first location in the city.

To mark the occasion, the first 100 customers through the doors will receive a voucher for a rug, worth over £60. Stylish canvas tote bag filled with Søstrene Grene goodies will also be gifted to guests and there will also be refreshments accompanied by some special live performances.

Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, comments: “We’re excited to bring the Søstrene Grene experience to Birmingham, where customers can discover our wide range of affordable, charming products. Every visit offers delightful surprises, with the chance to explore the world of ‘hygge’.”

UK partner, Jonathan Cooper, who operates Søstrene Grene stores across the North of England, is looking forward to the new opening in Birmingham.

Jonathan comments: “We are delighted to finally announce the upcoming Grand Opening date for our Brimingham store. It is an especially exciting time for us as we continue to expand the brand’s presence across the UK.

We’ve already received such a great reaction to the initial announcement of our Birmingham store and think it will make a brilliant new addition to the centre’s retail offering. The celebration is not one to be missed and we look forward to welcoming shoppers to Grand Central on opening morning.”

The official Grand Opening of Søstrene Grene, Birmingham will take place at Grand Central on Friday 19th September at 9:59am.
