Spotlight on the types of bingo bonuses in online bingos

Online bingo sites keep getting better as we draw close to the metaverse. Not only do they have excellent graphics and music, but they also incorporate live chats. If you read reviews on UK bingo sites, you see how much these sites have invested in making bingo a social game. You can meet new people, learn more about the game, and even make friends while playing bingo. And on top of all these perks, they offer bonuses!

What are bingo bonuses?

The bingo world once featured a few halls scattered over urban areas. Back then, it was a sellers’ market as players had to actively seek places to play bingo. But with online bingo, players have so many choices that they are the ultimate decision-makers. And in this buyers’ market, bingo sites must do what they can to attract and retain new customers. They do this by offering bonuses, which are essentially incentives for people to sign up and play with them.

Types of bingo bonuses

Bonuses are not equal. Bingo sites keep getting creative with their incentives. And in the current market, you’re likely to come across the following options:

  1. Sign-Up Bonus: This incentive is for new players who sign up on sites. It can work in two ways. The first is the sign-up bonus, where players get free spins or cash just for registering. And the second requires players to deposit money to get in on the bonus.
  2. Deposit Bonuses: Bingo sites can match a player’s deposit or offer a fixed amount for every deposit. For example, some sites have 100% matched deposit incentives for up to £100. So, if you deposit £50, you get an extra £50 to use on the games. Other sites prefer fixed amounts. For example, each new player can get £10 to use on games.
  3. Redeposit Bonuses: Some sites encourage players to deposit more money into their accounts using this bonus. So, you get rewarded the first time you add money to your wallet and get another top-up when you deposit money the second time.
  4. Free Spins: Bingo sites offering slots can offer spins to new players. These are great for players who want to try several games or try their hand at different ways to make money.
  5. Loyalty Bonus: This option is available to players who often frequent a site. They can get free spins, money, or even physical gifts to entice them to keep playing. Sometimes, high-roller bonuses are available to people who spend a lot of money on games.

The suitability of any bonus depends on what games you want to play and how well it augurs with your bankroll. For example, a high roller may prefer getting a loyalty bonus. But someone who rarely plays bingo will not benefit much from such an incentive.

What to look for in bonuses

While getting a bonus is great, you should also consider the terms and conditions tied to it. These include:

  1. The bingo games you can play: Some sites only allow you to play specific games using the bonuses,
  2. The cap: Suppose you win money using the bonus. How much can you take home? You might learn that even after making £1,000, you can only cash out £100!
  3. The time accorded: Bonuses often have period limits within which you should use them. This period can be weeks, but most sites cap it at 30 days. Once the time lapses, you lose your bonus privileges.
  4. The wagering requirements: How can you use the bonus? How often must you play with it before accessing your earnings?

Sometimes, a bonus might look like a good deal. But before accepting it, consider its suitability to your game preferences and earning potential. The rule of thumb with bonuses is to stick to the ones with the least conditions.
