Sylva, the distillery dedicated to unlocking the untapped flavour of trees, secures first grocery retail listing with Ocado

Sylva,Sylva, the pioneering distillery and maturation lab dedicated to unlocking the untapped flavour of trees, has secured its first grocery retail listing with Ocado. From 7 January 2026, Sylva Orchard, the brand’s third and most successful release will be available to buy on Ocado.com.

The launch marks a significant milestone for Sylva, which began production in December 2024 with a singular focus on creating dark, complex non-alcoholic spirits designed to be sipped slowly. Within months of launching, Sylva secured listings globally in numerous Michelin-starred restaurants, award-winning cocktail bars and luxury retailers including Selfridges and Berry Bros & Rudd. Ocado becomes the first grocery retailer to stock the brand.

Sylva Orchard is produced at Sylva’s distillery and maturation lab in the Colne Valley, using a unique distillation and maturation process invented by founder Ben Branson. Inspired by Branson’s childhood memories of fruit orchards and the rituals of harvest season, apple wood, plum wood and cherry wood are paired with regenerative malt barley to create a spirit with depth, texture and warmth best enjoyed neat over ice.

Ben Branson, founder of Seedlip and Sylva, said: “Ocado was our first grocery retailer for Seedlip in 2017 and so I am delighted they are also our first grocery partner for Sylva. Ocado has built a reputation for championing quality, innovation and choice with a discerning audience seeking depth and craft which makes it the perfect fit for Sylva’s aged non-alcoholic spirits.”

Shauna Clark Fitzpatrick, low and no buyer at Ocado Retail, said: “Sylva is doing something genuinely new in non-alcoholic drinks. Its focus on ageing, depth of flavour and craft mirrors what our customers already expect from premium spirits, just without the alcohol.

“As demand continues to grow for sophisticated low and no options to enjoy at home, Sylva Orchard is a natural addition to our range and a great example of how innovative this category has become.”

Originally launched as a limited release in September 2025, the success of Sylva Orchard has led to it becoming available year-round. It is the first Sylva spirit to move from limited release into permanent production.

Sylva Orchard is available to buy on Ocado.com for £40 from January 2026.
