Tapi Carpets & Floors have been announced as the new sponsor for Holland Football Club. The leading flooring company is sponsoring the club following the opening of its latest new store in the Trade & Leisure Park, Old Road, Clacton CO15 1FX. The Tapi team is excited to build a relationship with the local community and is dedicated to supporting the young talent in the area.
Holland Football Club, also known as ‘The Jaffas’ because of their bright orange kit, was founded in 2006 by chairman Mark Sorrell, then vice charmain and secretary Vic Webb. It is based on Dulwich Road, Holland-on-Sea, and you can often see the teams training at Eastcliff or on the astroturf at Jaywick Coastal Academy. The club is planning on going chartered standard this year and actively working towards this aim. It has a great vision where it would like to be in a few years and hope to progress in all departments whether it being Men’s, Youth and Girls’ football.
As part of the new sponsorship, Tapi Carpets & Floors will now feature pitch side and appear in match day programmes. It is currently the only flooring specialist sponsor.
Darren Soames, store manager at Tapi Clacton, is over the moon with the partnership.
“Holland FC are a great local club,” he said. “My son plays for the under 14’s yellow team so I know them really well, I’m often on the touchline on a Sunday morning cheering him on! We’re delighted to sponsor the club and I love to see Tapi’s name alongside the pitch – especially when they score! I’m so proud Tapi are sponsoring our local club and getting involved in the community around our store.”
