Tapi Carpets & Floors and John Lewis have announced a new partnership that will see Tapi concessions launch in 17 department stores.

The first Tapi concession will launch in the John Lewis Oxford Street flagship store in February 2025 with 16 more to follow in stores around the UK by summer 2025.

Celebrating 160 years on the British highstreet, John Lewis is one of the nation’s most loved and well-known retailers. With 34 department stores across the UK, it is a go-to for customers for fashion, home interiors, technology and beauty, as well as financial services – including insurance, currency exchange and its popular John Lewis Partnership Credit Card.

Promising to make buying flooring reassuringly simple, Tapi’s expert floorologists will be on hand to help customers find a new floor from the extensive collection of carpets, laminate, engineered wood, and luxury vinyl flooring. Tapi’s home visit service and digital offering will also be available to all John Lewis customers via tapi.co.uk.

Rated ‘Excellent’ with 4.8/5 on Trustpilot reviews, Tapi Carpets & Floors has grown over the past 10 years to become the largest flooring retailer in the UK with over 200 stores and a 200-strong fleet of in-home consultants. Started by a team of people passionate about flooring, Tapi’s commitment to providing world-class customer service, a genuinely enjoyable in-store shopping experience, and innovative products for the modern home, has seen them grow to become the market leader.

Managing director of Tapi Carpets & Floors Jeevan Karir says: “We’re delighted to be opening 17 Tapi concessions and share our home visit service and digital experience with John Lewis customers. Our concession stores will offer a premium selection of Tapi branded carpets and smooth flooring, plus high-quality John Lewis carpets and the best of British flooring brands, ensuring there’s plenty of choice for anyone shopping for a new floor. By expanding the Tapi brand into John Lewis stores, customers can be confident they’ll receive unrivalled customer service at every step.”

Katie Papakonstantinou, director of services & hospitality for John Lewis & Partners, says: “We’ve been helping customers design and decorate their homes for 160 years, and this partnership with Tapi will help make sure we continue to do so for generations to come. With their extensive product range including John Lewis carpets, plus commitment to customer service, there’s a natural fit between our brands, so we’re really excited to launch this collaboration.”

Tapi’s collection of carpets, laminate, engineered wood, and luxury vinyl flooring will be available in all 17 John Lewis concessions, alongside a range of John Lewis branded carpets. Customers will also be able to purchase top carpet brands such as Westex, Brockway, and Victoria, plus renowned flooring brands Quick-Step and Karndean.

For those needing a full flooring service, Tapi can arrange fitting with their team of trusted fitting partners up and down the country and will also uplift and dispose of old flooring if required. To help spread the cost of new flooring, interest-free credit options with zero deposit are available for up to 30 months.

Tapi at John Lewis Oxford Street opens February 2025.

Further concessions will open at John Lewis branches across spring and summer in 2025: Kingston, Bluewater, Peter Jones (Sloane Square), High Wycombe, Newcastle, Cribbs Causeway, Southampton, Cheadle, Reading, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Milton Keynes, Brent Cross, Nottingham, Liverpool & Solihull.
