Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026As the Olympic Winter Games drew to a close, Team GB took centre stage at the Closing Ceremony, proudly dressed in official Ben Sherman ceremonial looks. Marking the brand’s fourth consecutive Olympic Games as the Official Ceremony Wear Partner for Team GB, the moment reinforced Ben Sherman’s continued role in bringing British design to the world stage.

Location:

Verona, Italy

Athlete Spotlight:

Team GB flagbearers Matt Weston (Skeleton), a two-time Olympic gold medalist at the Milano Cortina 2026, and Charlotte Bankes (Snowboarding), an Olympic gold medalist at Milano Cortina 2026, led the delegation for the Closing Ceremony, illuminated against the iconic backdrop of the Verona Arena.

Dressed in Ben Sherman’s official ceremonial uniforms, Weston and Bankes wore scarves and winter hats designed and hand-knit in collaboration with Olympic medalist and Paris 2024 Flagbearer Tom Daley.

The Closing Ceremony kit features thoughtfully tailored pieces designed by Ben Sherman. Drawing on the brand’s heritage knitwear, the look incorporates elevated textures, refined layering and subtle performance elements – each piece crafted to balance warmth, structure and signature detailing for the Winter Olympics’ final moments.

The Official Closing Ceremony look includes:

●  Team GB Merino Roll Neck: A navy and ecru merino wool roll-neck base layer, offering structured warmth and understated sophistication.

●  Team GB Union Flag Zip Thru: A chunky wool-blend track jacket intricately woven with Team GB’s signature zig-zag illustration and finished with Ben Sherman’s iconic mod-tipped cuffs.

●  Team GB Smart Jogger: Clean-cut joggers trimmed with tonal Union Flag taping for a modern, athletic finish.

●  Accessories: A coordinating knit hat and gloves, paired with Team GB Snow Boots with Vibram soles, laced in red, white and blue for a distinctly Team GB touch.

Commercial styles of the Ceremony Wear are now available to shop on BenSherman.com, BenSherman.co.uk, and JohnLewis.com.
