Tech for Retail 2026: the European observatory of retail transformation

Retail has never changed faster.

Agentic AI, retail media, hyper-personalisation, next-generation in-store experiences, unified commerce, supply chain automation and evolving regulations are continuously reshaping the business models of retailers across Europe.

In this environment of constant acceleration, retail leaders can no longer rely solely on long-term trend forecasting. They need to identify the technologies, business models and emerging use cases that are transforming the industry today and will drive competitive advantage tomorrow.

“The question is no longer which technologies will transform retail, but how quickly they will be adopted. Artificial intelligence, retail media and new commerce models are evolving at an unprecedented pace. Our mission is to help retail leaders make sense of these transformations and connect directly with the companies already deploying them at scale,” said Karen Serfaty, founder of Tech for Retail.

This is precisely the mission of Tech for Retail, returning to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles on November 30th and December 1st, 2026.

Over the past six editions, Tech for Retail has established itself as one of Europe’s leading platforms for retail innovation, bringing together retailers, brands, technology providers and industry experts who are shaping the future of commerce.

For its 2026 edition, the event will expand into Hall 7.2, providing significantly more exhibition space to showcase a broader range of technologies and solutions addressing retailers’ most pressing strategic challenges.

With more than 15,000 retail decision-makers expected, 420 exhibitors, over 200 conference sessions and the industry’s largest startup village featuring more than 75 innovative companies, Paris will once again become Europe’s meeting point for retail innovation.

WHAT’S NEXT IN RETAIL?

The Tech for Retail programme is developed in collaboration with an Advisory Board composed of some of the most influential leaders in European retail. Their role is to ensure that the content reflects the real strategic priorities facing retailers and delivers actionable insights to attendees.

The 2026 edition will explore the key transformations currently reshaping the entire retail value chain. Highlighted topics already confirmed include:

●  The rise of Agentic AI and autonomous assistants in retail

●  New LLM applications and their impact on customer experience, operations and decision-making

●  The future of marketing in the age of intelligent agents

●  AI-powered procurement and negotiation

●  Retail media as a new growth engine

●  Next-generation omnichannel strategies and unified commerce

●  Supply chain transformation through artificial intelligence

●  The future of physical stores in the AI era

●  Reinventing luxury retail for a new generation of consumers

●  Technology sovereignty, regulation and sustainability challenges

Because innovation does not stop when a conference programme is published, Tech for Retail continuously enriches its content agenda right up to the opening of the event, ensuring it reflects the latest developments shaping global retail.

The most significant transformations in retail are not theoretical. They are being built every day by the companies and leaders driving innovation at scale.

To help attendees understand these changes, Tech for Retail will bring together some of the most influential executives in European retail and consumer industries.

Confirmed speakers include:

●  Alexandre Bompard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Carrefour

●  Michelle Lamberti, Global Omnicommerce Director and Executive Committee Member, Adeo

●  Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, Chief Innovation & Prospective Officer and Executive Committee Member,

L’Oréal Groupe

●  Bernard Osta, Chief Executive Officer, Vestiaire Collective

●  Mikko Kärkkäinen, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, RELEX Solutions

Their keynote sessions will contribute to more than 200 conferences dedicated to the technologies and business models transforming retail today, including Agentic AI, retail media, supply chain transformation, unified commerce, customer experience, luxury retail, sustainability, regulation and emerging growth opportunities.

Additional CEOs, entrepreneurs, researchers and international industry experts will be announced in the coming months.

FROM INSIGHT TO ACTION: RETAIL TOURS

Beyond conference content, Tech for Retail has become a unique platform connecting retailers with the most relevant technology solutions available on the market.

One of the event’s flagship initiatives is its programme of themed Retail Tours, designed to help decision-makers efficiently identify innovations aligned with their strategic priorities.

During the previous edition, more than 180 guided tours were organised for delegations from leading retailers, brands and international organisations.

Built around specific challenges such as artificial intelligence, customer experience, supply chain transformation, unified commerce, retail media and sustainability, these tours offer personalised innovation journeys and facilitate meaningful connections between retailers and solution providers.

A NEW EUROPEAN DIMENSION WITH EASYFAIRS

The 2026 edition also marks an important milestone in the history of Tech for Retail as the first edition organised within the Easyfairs Group.

As one of Europe’s leading B2B event organisers, Easyfairs delivers more than 200 professional events worldwide and supports major industry communities across multiple sectors.

This integration opens a new phase of growth for Tech for Retail, strengthening its international reach, accelerating collaboration with Europe’s innovation ecosystems and reinforcing its position as a leading platform for retail technology and innovation.
