THE HAPPY PEAR signs new distribution deal ahead of Veganuary

THE HAPPY PEARThe Happy Pear – aka Irish twins Steve and Dave Flynn – one of the early advocates of the merits of adopting a plant-based diet (ten years ahead of Veganuary) has agreed a partnership with CLF Distribution to enable independent retailers, farm shops and delis seamless access to its eponymous range of high quality, plant-based chilled and ambient products.

The new arrangement with CLF provides the trade with an established and proven ordering protocol, and direct access to the brand’s award-winning Dip & Snack, hummus, pesto, granola and Vita Vibe food products. The ambient range continues to also be available via The Happy Pear’s brand’s long-standing relationship with Dundeis.

The launch of a new cookbook – The Happy Pear 20 – is expected to further drive sales for the brand, showcasing reimagined classics and iconic favourites, but also featuring stories and lessons learned during the Irish twins’ 20 years in the food industry.

The book launch is being supported by book signings across the UK and will also be on show when The Happy Pear delivers demonstrations at the Plant Based World Expo at ExCeL 13-14th November, as well as at the Ideal Home Christmas event 30th November – 1st December.

Independent retailers will benefit from increased awareness of the product range and book launch through a focused media relations campaign, with The Happy Pear already scheduled to feature in a number of high-profile publications as well as guesting on relevant podcasts and broadcast programmes.

Commenting on the launch, director Darragh Flynn, says: “The Happy Pear has spent the last 20 years encouraging the public to consume more vegetables as a proven means to improve their diet. They specifically focus on increasing fibre intake, which according to the British Nutrition Foundation, is still a major issue, with 90% of UK adults still not consuming enough fibre.”

“The Happy Pear’s high-quality plant-based products are an effortless step towards achieving this goal, with a focus on best-in-class wholefood ingredients combined with outstanding taste performance and added convenience. The latest book provides further incentive to work towards a plant-based diet with The Happy Pear’s signature easy-to-follow flavoursome recipes designed to inspire consumers to start enjoying the benefits associated with healthy plant-based eating. And of course, our timing is perfect, with Veganuary just around the corner!”
