With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, The Perfume Shop has revealed it’s predicted top-selling perfumes for Valentine’s Day 2026. The perfume trends set to dominate the most romantic gifting moment of the year, alongside its predicted top-selling scents for 2026.

As the UK’s largest specialist perfume retailer, The Perfume Shop is forecasting another standout Valentine’s Day, following record-breaking sales in 2025, when more than 240,000 bottles were sold in the run-up to 14 February. This year, shoppers are expected to invest even more thought and personalisation into their perfume choices, with bold twists on classics, refillable icons and statement scents leading the way.

Predicted top-selling perfumes for Valentine’s Day 2026

1. Personal, powerful and personality-led scents take centre stage

According to Miranda Savage, head of buying at The Perfume Shop, Valentine’s perfume shopping in 2026 is all about choosing scents that feel deeply personal.

“Customers are moving beyond ‘safe’ gifting and are much more confident in choosing perfumes that reflect personality and emotion,” says Savage. “We’re seeing strong demand for intense florals, modern ambers and richer compositions that feel expressive and memorable, perfect for Valentine’s Day.”

Floral perfumes remain a firm favourite for romantic gifting, particularly rose-led and white floral blends, while citrus and fresh notes appeal to shoppers buying for energetic, optimistic partners. Meanwhile, bold woody, spicy and amber scents continue to perform strongly across men’s and gender-neutral gifting.

2. Fresh twists and refillable favourites fuel Valentine’s excitement

This Valentine’s, shoppers are drawn to fresh interpretations of iconic perfumes that bring a new dimension to beloved classics. Scents like Prada Paradoxe Intense Eau de Parfum, Rabanne Phantom In Red Parfum Elixir and Yves Saint Laurent MYSLF Eau de Parfum are injecting bold, modern energy into familiar favourites, making them highly sought-after gifts.

Alongside this, sustainability remains a key consideration. Refillable perfumes such as Prada Paradoxe and Yves Saint Laurent MYSLF continue to attract consumers who value luxury combined with environmental responsibility, offering a gift that’s both indulgent and long-lasting.

3. Expert-led discovery makes gifting easier

To support customers navigating the crowded perfume market, The Perfume Shop continues to invest in expert-led discovery tools. Its Perfume Finder helps shoppers match scents to existing favourites, preferences and personalities, alongside their experts who can guide you through selections, removing the guesswork from gifting.

“Valentine’s Day can feel high-pressure,” Savage adds. “Our tools and in-store expertise help customers feel confident they’re choosing something their loved one will genuinely adore.”

Additionally, if you are looking to make your gift extra special, add a personal touch by engraving anything from your loved one’s initials to a favourite quote or heartfelt message. With over 200 fragrances available for engraving, it’s easy to create a truly unique and meaningful gift.
